Well I was hoping for some elaborate April fools. Something that has been having its web weaved for months now, And all we get is blackie.

not an app as such, but those wanting to root their android device, you need to check out SuperOneClick just download, open, attach your phone to the computer, make sure you have debug turned on, and hit the root button. used this recently to do a defy, sgs, sgsii and and an experia play.

Your still stuck with iTunes, some sites just won't play on an iPad, (kontraband anyone) it has an annoying keyboard interface, usual battery life when used heavily, did I say stuck with iTunes? Random app crashes most noticeable with the browser, random lock ups, can't flick between tabs in the browser without the previous tab halting what it is doing (noticeable in webcam and chat room scenarios) Yes, this is typed on an iPad2. The only reason I use it is I got it free from work and my laptop died! I hate the thing! I want to launch it every time I use it as something about it pisses me off! Lol Did I mention iTunes? iPad 3, or should I say the new iPad....... One word... Baaaaaaaa! Give me an iPad with android on anyday... Oh wait,that's the 10.1 that apple tried to block.....

I had a set too with 2 guys outside my house. They ran over the missus focus, I heard them and I was out the door... They were all set for a fight until I went back in and pulled out the lower half of the snooker cue. Seriously, what goes through these people's head!

Sim lock and Carrier lock are two different things. If its android you can probably do it for free Col.

Android manages its own tasks.... If it needs extra ram it stops a process and starts it again. Check apps like Facebook etc, these are the main culprits. OT... I'm running a SGS with ICS on and got chance to compare it directly with a nexus the other week. The phone it's self is a little bigger than the SGS. The rom I am running was actually quicker than the nexus! It doesn't have an expansion slot for an external card either. Personally, like the first nexus was the leader until the SGS came out.... I think you should hold off and wait for the next gen, ie 4g phones, sgs3, ect come out later this year. IMHO they are going to be the ones worth getting and That's what I'm doing. As with all phones, there is always a new model on the horizon. I would say go for something you will want to keep for 2 years. Any hint of doubt, don't get it!

Maaaan you sound like me! I actually really like apple hardware..... The problem is apple software In setting up the 7 iPads in the office it was an absolute nightmare! You can't register it without a cc card or apple gift card crap so I just used my iTunes I'd as it was easier but that's linked to my credit card... (not best in a work place! Good job I control the updates and locked them down so you can't do anything without a password i set.) They constantly frustrate me! I am in the process of migrating my bosses laptop to another one... No problems except for his iTunes crap!... My android phones all work on any computer I want... Sorry, I'm ranting!

Another vote for the tab 10.1 Had a play with one last week, side by side To the 7inch version and the samsung note. If theY have corporate phones, Look at the note. General use, the 7inch tab and to rival the iPad, the 10.1 Great piece of kit and a shame I can't use them at work. (I too look after 7 iPad2's whilst making sure the staff don't do something stupid with them! )

Blocked rad? Mine used to overheat after about an hour... That was due to me doing motorway driving kept air through. Through town it was a different story! Some days it didn't do it some days it did. Rad was 45% blocked. Swapped it out and it never did it again..

I had this problem recently as well. I only use hotmail occasionally now but I was getting random emails until hotmail marked my account as spam sending. A few security questions later and they regranted access to my account and the spam stopped. I'm sure hotmail can help if you contact them.

Correct. Last I read on it it seemed fairly straight forward to add a hdd and run a version of 'nix on it. It has a lot of potential for a cheap ass system. The only part putting me off is Linux.... I just don't have the patience for it!

I've been watching these for a while cj. I also had the thought of putting one together for the car... Basically they are a cheap, bare bones linux based pc.
