  1. That's awesome!! They have seriously under tuned it, would be cool to let it loose properly
  2. I've been having a nosey but there aren't really a lot on the go locally (Other than Kenny ). I'm not that worried about longevity as I will hardly be using it to be honest. It's just for the odd job here and there
  3. That would be fantastic mate, what size is it? I only have a small garage so ideally I'm after one as small as possible basically Ideal, thanks
  4. Kinect took over the wii??? Did hell freeze over?
  5. Definitely, especially as the toner cartridges are about £20 each
  6. Unfortunately I'm going off of my car which is a 2007 so quite a bit different. However, the EGR valve is a VERY common fault across the Mondeo range as far as I know. On my car it's at the front left as you face the car. http://shop.mondeospares.co.uk/ekmps/shops/mondeospares/images/ford-mondeo-mk3-egr-valve-petrol-1.8l-or-2.0l-2001-2005-566-p.jpg Is that maybe yours? 2001-2005 model? They are known for sticking open and when they do the car won't start. I had this trouble last christmas time just after I bought it. I was going absolutely mental. I ended up buying a plate and blocking mine off. An easy way to check if it is your issue is to unbolt it and stick a piece of cardboard in to block it off temporarily. Fire the car, if it starts up then that's obviously your problem. You will need to take the cardboard out though, obviously lol, and replace with something a bit more heavy duty. On my car I have the engine management light on but I don't think it's an issue on previous models. Oh, and yes the fuel filter is the coke can looking thing. I did all manor of things with mine before finding out it was the EGR valve.
  7. I've been looking around and the highest I can see is 8bar (115 psi). Is that enough for leakdown tests?
  8. As opposed to the new cost? If you got the box rebuilt it would still be under what it would cost new and it would be effectively new. I know what you mean though, the lingering doubt would always be there. It would mean you could crank your tubby though
  9. I will try it without it mate but I would rather have the stuff ready in case I need to extend it. Having to wait everytime I find something else that needs done, that I don't have the kit for, is really starting to get to me.
  10. I'm thinking about getting a small compressor for odd jobs on the car. It's not going to be used for anything demanding a high volume of air so I'm wondering what sort of size I should go for. Looking on ebay there are a few around the £100 mark, are these ok for the sort of use I'm going to have it for? I'm thinking... Brake bleeding Compression leak testing Tyre blowing up Blowing crap out I would also use various tools if it was possible for that sort of budget (cutting tools, hand drills etc) but this isn't important. The most important is size so that I can stow it away in the corner of my garage without it taking up a lot of room. Any recommendations would be great. I'm not after the best but i don't want to buy a hairdryer either, if my budget doesn't allow one to do the job then I'll just leave it. Thanks
  11. Massive improvement already. Are you going to give the bay a touch up with paint or are you going all out on it? What do you extend the cables with John? I've got my alternator wire tucked up inside the inner wing but I haven't tried to wire it up yet. Might as well get what I need for extending before I even bother to try. Cheers
  12. Good buy for someone looking to do this. You going 6spd now?
  13. Not hanging about are you Dude
  14. To be honest I let it run for a few posts as I thought it was a dry humour comeback I generally only use the smilies I remember... : D : ) ; ) : innocent : : p : eyebrows : etc
  15. I need to use more smileys when I'm joking.
  16. Yeah I seen that, this report is unrelated to that thread though.... it's just been released.
  17. Not really sure, I remember you having a conversation with Jamie on the Audi that he has and wondering whether to get the same model with the same engine or a lesser powered model. I'm not really up on my Audi models.
  18. Not sure how it is spread as I haven't read anything on it yet, just going from what I heard on the radio. The only real question that I have at the moment is whether the risk of infection is minimal because of the low numbers of infected people using the service, or whether it's because the actual process itself is unlikely to spread any disease. If it's the latter then it's not quite as bad as it could be, if it's the prior then I would be seriously worried about using them (not that I would anyway lol). Surprisingly given the current climate
  19. Should I get a porsche = Stupid question. Should I go for the small engine Audi over the large one = Stupid question. All IMO of course
  20. Just listening to the news on the radio and they said there is a new report out linking the fish pedicures to spreading Hep C & Aids. Apparently some states in the US have banned them. The risk is low but it's potentially there none the less. I tend not to read into these "reports" too much, and I know what some US states can be like when something is rumoured, but I'm certainly interested to know the facts. My Wife had one of these done a few months ago and loved it, don't think she'll be in for it again though.
  21. That's because he's respected in the Supra community and not just the Mallets Mallet stakes Although... not by me
  22. Pfft, that's giving him too much credit. He's asked more stupid questions about Porches & Audis than he has answered about Supras.
