I removed my charcoal canister and cant quite understand these instructions as its on the wrong side of the car http://mkiv.com/tmp/no_charcoal_canister/ I understand that there are two pipes that I connect together and one I cap off. But what pipes do they translate to when the pipework is different on RHD cars? Do I cap the hard pipe that runs along the plenum and join the two next to the bulkhead?

I binned the lot of them as they were no good, They were the black kyb shocks that came off. I replaced them wth the bilstiens.

I still have these sitting in my garage

I was just after the driver side front window glass, mine has a couple scratches on it and it does my head in having to look through them out the window. How much would postage be to Newcastle?

are there any scratches or marks on the driver side window glass (take it they are fronts) and is it possible to post?

Iv got some cheapo gauges and they work fine for me, maybe they may not be quite as accurate as the £100 odd quid badged things but they do the job I suppose. All I want to know is that I have oil pressure and that its around where it should be. I also have an oil temp gauge and boost gauge and they all read fine.

My IACV vsv would work intermittantly, everytime I took it off the car and ran 12v across it it opened fine, but when on the car and moving most the time it wouldnt open (heat effecting it maybe) I changed it and had an instant result and no problem since. I had similar issues as your describing - First turbo boosted fine and when the second was supposed to come on line the boost stayed almost the same or maybe increased by a psi or 2. I would do a pressure test and if that comes back fine and you are still sruggling then try and borrow an IACV vsv from someone and see if it cures the problem. Do you ever see normall boost (1.2bar) now and again or is it always low now?

Are there any pics anywhere of which bolts I should be looking at and tightening? The last time I went under the car to try and tighten sub frame bolts I sheered something and had to take it to a garage to get drilled and tapped, not something I want to do again. I am however very confident in tightening a couple bolts if I know what to look for. Can someone please explain how or why subframe bolts just come loose. I have never heard of this happening on any other vehicle and I it bugs me that I dont know why it happens on the supra

I have a clunking noise from the car when I brake, I have had it for a while but chose to ignor it and feel I should really get to the bottom of it. It seems to only happen when I touch the brakes moving forward. I have tried it in reverse and I cant make it happen and I have also tried hitting pot holes etc while staying off the brakes, again no noise. I get the same noise whether I am in a straight line or turning left or right and I cannot feel anything in the brake pedal or back through the steering wheel although it is quite loud with the windows down. I only need to apply slight pressure on the brake pedal to make it clunk. It usually makes this noise between 20-30mph and sometimes will make the same noise when I let off the brakes aswell. One thing that did feel unpleasant was when I slammed the brakes on at about 30mph I got a much louder clunk and kind of felt it through the car where my left foot sits (I have an auto) In the last 6 months or so I have changed all 4 shocks with toyota bilsteins-front and rear anti roll bar bushes and front and rear drop links. My guess is moving brake pads and the louder clunk poss sub frame bolts? What do you guy's think?

check the IACV vsv. Take it off the car and and connect 12v to it from the battery and see if the solenoid opens. Sometimes these vsv's can be intermittant.

Most senders need to be earthed well to work properly. I used a bit of wire and earthed the sandwhich plate to the car and they all work fine

I was just talking about how much I hate bin men the other day. When I first bought my house I didn’t have a recycle bin (they were small black tubs you fill up with recyclable’s) so I went and bought a clear tub about the same size, put it outside on bin day and they didn’t collect it. 2 weeks later I put it out again and they didn’t collect it. I then rang the council and the lady on the phone said "Did you put it out on the path in clear view?" (Yes I did) "Did they empty your other bin that day?" (yes, they did) "Did you put your recyclables in the black bucket?" (No, I don’t have one so I bought a clear one from tesco and put them in there) "Ah well, they won’t take it if it's not in a black bucket" Well, I laughed a little and asked if she was taking the Mick, to which she replied NO. Well I went a bit off my trolley at that point, I mean we pay to have the bins collected, I went to the bother of buying a box for the recyclable’s and the stupid apes wouldn’t empty the box because it wasn’t black!! C'mon, what a joke. I also asked what am I supposed to do with a month’s worth of recyclable’s. She told me I had to take it to the tip, I said, you have to be joking, I'll just put it in the bin. She replied you can’t, You will be fined if you do that. Then I just hung up before I said things I shouldn’t.
