As far as I am aware the shims 'help' prevent squeeling and such unwanted noises but I have read on here that without them the brake pedal feels firmer, not sure about what effect they would have on heat/fade etc but I would guess not very much either way

I was just wondering if the stock wastegate actuator opens under pressure or vacuum? I suddenly started overboosting and found that the rubber tube going to my ebc solenoid had rubbed through (it was lying next to a pully) so my wastegate will not be opening at all. I have a T piece I can use to temp repair it and bung the T leg off (ineffect making a straight connection) but I was just curious as to whether there will be pressure or vacuum in there.

I resprayed my front passanger side wing because I had a scratch that was taking the laquer away but it looks rubbish so I need a pro to do it properly. Yeah sure, be good to have a neb round a new car. Where did you get it sprayed? I train with Dave Charlton in Whickham, he used to do the classes at Blaydon Rugby club until it got flooded last year. Where did you train? I also used to go to Olympia and weight train years ago but stopped. I then started doing some in the house but I am terrible at keeping it going, I usually start and stop and get no where with it:( my own fault really.
