Welcome mate, get some pictures of your current car up. What Supra are you looking for? manual or auto? turbo or NA? We like pictures

    Hi from Mir

like the old "they need a rebuild every 60k miles" rumour people always say when you mention RX7. Gorgeous cars though, the Supra, RX7 and DC2 Type R are my 3 favourite Japanese cars.

I do have a serious soft spot for the FD3, almost bought one a few years back but ended up getting something else. One day I will have one

Do the boost logic ones sound good if you shout through them?
  11. What's the ID of the ribbed hoses you just removed? I have a Meter of black silicone hose, if its the right size I'm happy for bung you a length for a few quid.

Have you read the BPU section in the tech articles mate? some good stuff in there. Main thing to remember before upping the boost or going for more power is to give it a full service with decent parts and fluids and check everything is working fine. Also check the coil pack clips, these break down with age and can cause miss fires etc when upping the boost. Also I would look at going to a colder grade spark plug when upping the boost. Grade 7 will be sufficient for BPU. I use NGK coppers BKR7E that I change twice a year (only do about 5000 miles if that), £12 for 6, again a good post in the tech section about this. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?64-Technical-Reference-amp-FAQs
  13. For £9k I would have thought you'd be well on the way to a half decent small single build?

  17. Nice idea! looking forward to the updates!
  18. £9K to strip clean and put it back together??? you can pick up a 2nd hand engine running from £2k! Sounds like they are trying to take you for a ride mate. I would speak to Lee at SRD and see what he can do, I wouldn't be giving these guys any more money if it were me.
  19. Hi folks, Going to be testing the supra this weekend, have an on going tps problem which I think we have narrowed down the VTA wire. To test going to de-pin the TPS plug and ecu connector and run a separate wire between the two. Have just found a new role of speaker wire, would this be OK for test/temporary purposes? or can anyone recommend an alternative. Thanks Si
  20. Have fun guys, look forward to the pictures and videos of THAT corner Showed the wife this thread, she said if it runs next year, that's my 30th birthday present sorted!
