If it was me I would sell the NA, buy a run around then look for a TT auto as a second car. Should be able to pick one up for £4500 to £5k these days. Gigsy is selling his UK spec for £5500.
  2. yes mate. Speak to Keron he can supply the lot. For piece of mind I would change the box filter and fluid. Makes a massive difference.
  3. Ok chap. Would be a decent seller I think!
  4. Any more updates on this?
  5. All auto-boxes have a torque converter mate it replaces the manual type clutch. Its a fluid coupling that transmits power from the engine to the driving wheels and multiples the torque. When you press the accelerator, the engine speeds up, fluid is pumped into the torque converter which transmits the power to the gearbox/wheels. In a nutshell anyway.
  6. I like the idea of picking a track day and everyone just booking a place, it would seem a better arrangement than the club organsing something and losing out due to low numbers. No risk that way I guess.

On a serious note, if you cant afford the fuel for 3l NA I wouldn't be looking at any petrol turbos. I had a Seat Leon Cupra R before the supra, remapped to 280hp. used to cost me £45+ a week in fuel plus on average another £30 to £60 a month to replace the coilpacks it kept blowing. My auto TT Supra costs me £50 a week so hardly any difference, sometimes less if I'm just crusing at 50 -60mph. Problem is if you like to squeeze the loud pedal alot its going to cost! My Passat TDi gets filled up once every 5 to 6 weeks now £80 600+ miles, depending on what the car is and the other costs you can save some money but not loads. insurance on the TDi is £230 a year, Supra probably about £350 to £400 once insured again without commuting. was paying £640 fully comp for the Supra as a daily so only savings are on fuel really.
  8. With all that power and crappy tyres you could do more spins before going backwards through a hedge Everyones a winner!
  9. you can buy big tins of it mate for compressor use. Seen a few people do the whole car for £400 to £600.
  10. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Ed, your a legend.

I thought audi tt's were reserved for estate agents, women and queers?
  13. I got my tt box from Keron, top service. As said boxes are so cheap, just replace and change fluid.
  14. Nice work. Plasti dip is my new favourite substance
  15. Whats up with it? I wouldnt bother getting the gearbox looked at, get a replacement from keron on here for a few hundred quid and fit that.
  16. Well done Rob. As nice as that MR2 engine bay looks, its far too busy, almost too much.
  17. Im up for whatever, shame to lose the event as already mentioned. Really want to run the car at some sort of club day!
  18. Going to refit them later today so will get some more pics. Tempted to do the coil pack cover as well.....
  19. I waited about a week for black to come into stock. Time will tell on the scratch resistance, but the parts that will get more wear have more coats. Got a little left for touch ups if needed.
  20. Yep just like normal spray mate, the can sprays in a flat fan style so its very easy to direct.
  21. All done! Happy with the finish refitting tomorrow so will get some more pictures then.
  22. Cheers guys will get the rest done tomorrow. Peels off but takes a bit of effort:
