  1. I had a flu jab and a pneumonia jab a month or so back due to the fact that I'm on immunosuppressant drugs at the moment. Everyone around me has gone down with the flu, not a thing for me so far, though stating that is probably the kiss of death
  2. "Look after your broom. And that's what I've done. Maintained it for 20 years. This old brooms had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time."
  3. Ah, Eurospec, I went to a rolling road day there earlier this year, good bunch of folks there, they liked my Aristo
  4. My missus is after the make up stuffs. You got a price in mind for all of that or just letting it run it's course?
  5. It'll sell mate, there's a few NA-TT conversions running Aristo engines, also worth thinking about Driftworks as there are lots of conversions possible.
  6. That'll be one of my Aristo's, it's my single turbo'd 6 speed Aristo Don't give him ideas! It shouldn't be there much longer Joined your page too I see you picked bup Steve's Aristo, off to AFR with it too? I'll have to see if I can source him a new window by the looks of it too..!
  7. The Supra uses the Aristo's mighty 2JZ-GTE engine so most Supra tuning goodies can be used on it, decats are indeed different though but probably best to just get a custom exhaust fabbed up due to UK availability, the stock BOV is slightly different on the MK1 Aristo as the turbo pipes are slightly different. Most hoses will fit, though the upper rad pipe *may* be a bit tight as the rad is different. FMIC hard pipe kits from the Supra won't fit the Aristo without fettling, so custom is probably a better route unless you can find a good deal on a vehicle specific kit. Going down the BPU route is basically the same though.
  8. Ah, you taking Steve's Aristo up there are you Ash? Should be a bit easier to get loaded up than mine was!!
  9. Here you go, found these, bear in mind these were done back in 2001. http://www.grantgb.com/toptrumps/toptrumps.html
  10. We used to do these many years ago on an old VW forum that I used to frequent. I'll see if I can find the images, but it was circa 9 years ago so I might have some trouble, they were good fun.
  11. It's since YouTube was taken over by Google and it's bloody annoying. If you run Firefox then you can install a plug in that will block the ads.

No spare, just a can of Tyreweld and an AA card for me. Fingers crossed that will suffice, in 20 years of driving I think I've only ever had 3 or 4 instances where I've had to change to a spare so I'm happy to run the risk

Not really tooo sure about how loud that is just now but I'm sure Dude will be able to comment on that at somepoint. It probably won't be too noisy as the boot is well sealed from the cabin in the Aristo, and once everything is back in place, cover, carpets etc.. it should dampen it down a little.

Well it's all in and looking rather nice, so big thanks to the chaps at AFR, loving your work chaps
  16. The main point is the romance of it all and the fact that we will have a stunning princess, a veritable modern day fairy tale, yada yada yada... All good for tourism and bringing money into the country, and if they love each other then what the fook does it really have to do with anyone else?
  17. All I can say is what a crap test
  18. Sounds like you passed the attitude test with fling colours

  20. April 2001 Steveo - They did the shoot in the Portsmouth Tricorn centre and sadly photochopped flames over the wheels! Classy! Marc it's a long story involving a divorce case and it's been out of sight out of mind since. I took that picture June last year and had intended on getting it out and running for the missus, but it's taken a back seat. It's running a Rotrex Supercharger and nitrous, or was before it got mothballed, it needs a programable ECU to get it running again, and an MOT as it's never had one, it's got 31k on the clock IIRC. More here http://clubaristo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20611
  21. Yes, I've clearly just made it all up as a humerous jape and live in a little fantasy land....
  22. I'll see if I can dig it out, still got the car, it's been in one of my lock ups for about 7 years now! http://clubaristo.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=6103&stc=1&d=1245608032
  23. Sadly yes with my Turbo'd 2.0L New Beetle back in 2001, was quite a laugh doing the shoot. Also had shoots back then with Redline magazine and Performance VW too.
