I've been looking into changing careers and becoming a police officer recently as I'm extremely bored with my job and need somthing which is a bit more 'stimulating'.
After reading the application processes and requirements on the website I noticed that it says people who have been convicted of crimes will not get past the application stage (as you would expect)
now this might be a problem for me...
*15 yrs old - arrested for possesion of an offensive weapon (cautioned and told it would be off my record when I turned 18)
*19 yrs old - arrested for Drunk and Disordely (recieved £80 fixed penalty and a lousy breakfast )
*20 yrs old - Arrested (drunk in town centre) for public disorder offence/fighting, bailed for 2 weeks, no conviction but a nasty dressing down and a formal final caution.
I regret all the things I have done, but take full responsibility for my actions and feel that since these incidents I have grown up a hell of a lot!
So, sorry about the long post but is there any chance of me being accepted if I am completely honest about all of this and show how willing I am to make a difference?
(I know pistonbroke is a policeman so it'll be interesterd to hear what he thinks??)
thanks for reading, Luke
