    Wet & Waxed

Looking nice although I now have a bent neck
  2. Is that were the women said "I went outside and saw all the police sirens" made me chuckle that.
  3. Has it only just started doing this, or has it always done it. I get a whining at low speed sometimes, and if turning at low speeds i.e 2mph. I think aftermarket diffs can causes behaviour like this.
  4. Yep I agree with that. I went in May last year, it was 30 degrees most of the day, although quite cool at night (still t-shirt weather though). I preferred it much more to when I have been in August/September, when I find it too hot. We stayed at the Altamar twice, nice clean hotel, with the views you see in the pictures, although the lifts up and down the hill are amusing at first, but tedious after the novelty's worn off. But we returned after the first time so that says it all really. We also stayed in the Puerto Azul the first time we went again nice hotel, awesome view over the Puerto Rico beach/harbour, pretty much like the ones you see in the first set of pics. But a little boy drowned in the pool whilst we were there, so it put Vicky off after that. He dived in apparently, smashed his face on the shallow bottom, and then broke his jaw through his windpipe. He was dead as soon as he did that apparently, the only way he could have been saved if he was in hospital. Everybody had a big collection for him, and his mother was given about £1500, but obviously that was little consolation when you are flying your Son home in a box.
  5. I thought you were supposed to store your skirts in the bedroom, tranny
  6. The Ribble Pilot suits me as it's local, but don't mind travelling a bit further. Would it not be best to either get a concensus of where everyone is from then pick somewhere that is closest to the larger amount of people. Lets' say if Blackpool has the most amount of owners then lets have it there or thereabouts. OR could we not have the meet in one Town/city for maybe 3-6 months then move to another venue. Say Preston for 3-6, then move to maybe Lancaster,Warrington,Bolton etc.
  7. Just another thought when you stay on top of the hill it's just as close to go to the Amadores beach too. They are still building hotels here, but the beach is beautiful here too. On the last photo you can just make out Mount Teide (Tenerife) in the skyline.
  8. Just a few photo's taken from when we walked down the hill to the beach, view from the hotel etc.
  9. Hi Jurgen me and Vicky go to Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria a lot. We've been 3 times in the last 5 years. We go there exactly for the reasons you have stated. It's not full of idiots, but there is still enough going on etc. Beatiful place too. We always stay on the hill side/top as it's a bit quieter. There's a commercial centre at the top which is a short walk, and a bigger centre at the bottom which is about a 4 euro taxi ride. I'll dig you a few photo's out.
  10. I sold my number plate surrounds on EGay for about £35 IIRC. Nice choice of TV too, I have just got one in 42" size.
  11. I actually find it easier to strap young kids into a 3 door as you can get in, so you can strap them in (even in the supe). Whereas 5 door cars you have to bend over to fasten the little scrotes in. 5 door is probably more pracical when they are older, IMO.
  12. No it was a sort of light gunmetal grey, not quite as dark as gunmetal but darker than silver. Like an escort cossie grey, was it called moonstone grey or something. Nice either way.
  13. Yep my main use is road anyway Chris. The kids are sprouting legs now too. So I keep toying with the idea of them for the added practicality. Eventually I can see it boiling down to an Evo or a GTR. I would rather have a GTR, but there's something about Evo's that is really growing on me.
  14. There you go, might be of some use. The Mirror card is called quidity, I am sure I have heard of the Tuxedo one too. http://www.which-prepaid-card.co.uk/features/uk-pre-paid-cards.html
  15. I have seen on. I think it's run in conjunction with the Mirror newspaper IIRC. Worth doing a search for maybe?
  16. Just a quick note to say I saw some very nice Japanese cars down there last night cruising about. I went to the KFC across the roundabout from the Ribby Pilot. Then we went and parked up at the Dock front near McDonalds. In total for the three quarters of an hour we were around there, I saw a VERY nice R33 GTR. I was behind a new STi Impreza and a nicely body modified Civic Type R, in the drive thru. Also saw a nice Evo 8, and a couple of commoners old shaped Subaru's
  17. I thought that too. I really should stop looking at GTR's, I keep getting tempted especially at those sort of prices.
  18. Yep thats what I was thinking, I have noticed some minor oxidisation appearing on the polished bit. So I was thinking of looking for something to protect it.
  19. Awesome looking wheels those. What is a Zoopseal kit, I gather it's some sort of protectant for the wheels. Got a link to the stuff??
  20. The Ribble Pilot sounds like a great choice, never been but it's supposed to be a nice place. Easy to find too. I won't be able to make it on this occasion though as I am working Sunday, Monday, Tuesday shift this week. If it's going to be the 1st Monday of each month though, I will be on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, next month. So I should be able to get to that one.
  21. Happy New Year everybody, I hope everybody has a great 2008. Now..........who's sick of saying it now...........lol
  22. Where is the monthly meet going to be? On week day nights I will only be able to attend every other month, as I work shifts so don't finish until 7pm. I rotate to each end of the week each month. So any day is fine for me, either way I will be affected (unless it's a Saturday )
  23. I am not a lover of the old crotchrockets, but I like this. Interesting ad too. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-GSXR1000-K6_W0QQitemZ110210062587QQihZ001QQcategoryZ9808QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  24. Happy Christmas you lot, hope you have a great time
