  1. Yep sorry, my excuse is : you didn't narrow it down enough when you said Garstang Road. It could have been in Garstang for all I know.
  2. I have now found the Withy Tress garage (about 5/10 minutes drive) which is doing Optimax for 108.9. So I am slightly happier, but still pi55ed at the prices.
  3. Welcome mate, I posted in the thread about your clutch. This wasn't you that I spotted the other morning was it http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=139599 ???
  4. Welcome to the club mate, there's not to many dingles on here What colour is your car? Any pictures etc.? Chris is in Shropshire, I went to him. Great service etc.
  5. Yes I have used there drawing package to model some bits up. The shipping is a bit of a killer there though.
  6. I'd need a properly dimesioned drawing really. If you can get the drawing to me, we'll sort a price.
  7. I saw a SIlver one ( looked Silver in the dark). I was coming down the mad mile near BAE at Samlesbury (heading towards Mellor etc.). I was approaching the roundabout this car was exiting it, and we passed each other. I flashed but it was sort of last minute when I saw it, so the driver might not have seen me, it was at 6:15ish this morning. Looked like a Veilside front on it.
  8. Nick got in touch with Mine's about mine and he found that it had various things like: top speed de-limited, fuel cut removed, mapped to 1 bar, rev limit raised to 8.5k IIRC
  9. Took about 4/5 hours on and off. I took it easy, so that I did it right. I also give it a wash in that time. I got the oil from a bloke at work (works for Fuchs) got 20 litres of Pros 10w50 for £43 (chucked the guy £60 to keep him sweet). Power Enterprise filter - £16, 2 x 1litres of Motul 300v diff oil - £24, 250ml clutch top fluid - £3.00 1 litre castrol PAS fluid - £6.99, 2 litres of pre-mixed Halfords coolant (didn't really need this) - £7.99
  10. I serviced the car today, and it feels much better now, the main reason being the Power steering, I didn't realise how heavy it had got. There was also like a fizzing noise (which I assume was trapped wind ) So I bled the air out and the steering is much better now, and the noise has all but gone too. Although I did manage to get fluid everywhere after somebody said bleed it with the engine running in a post I dug up. So I took the cap off and managed to get it all over. Got the cap back on though quickly though so spillage was minimal. I bled it in the end with the ignition on and turning the wheels lock-to-lock about 30 times. The gear change also feels better too, Although I didn't change the box fluid. I did top-up the clutch fluid and drained and re-filled the diff. Could thid make it feel better? I must admit that my arms are sore though trying to get that damn oil filter off. Anyway I stuck Silkolene Pro S 10w50 oil in, Powere enterprise oil filter, topped up clutch fluid, topped up radiator, changed diff oil for Motul 300v (IIRC), bled PAS fluid and topped up with Castrol stuff. I also checked all the sub-frame bolts and mine seemed fine (car is on about 78k. The only setback I had was that I left the ignition on while bleeding the PAS fluid, while I picked my daughter up from school. The begger was flat as a pancake by the time I got back and realised.
  11. That was great, it's the first time I have been amazed at the picture and vibrant colours that my LCD tv gives off. It was awesome. Even in SD picture.
  12. Did the short shifter replace the gear stick? With it just tightening up it sounds like it's the wrong pitch of thread. Does the new knob have clearance for the reverse pull up collar, it could be tightening up on that.
  13. I got the Serrano black stand for mine, the one they sell in Currys. I didn't get mine from there as they wanted about £180 for them when not purchasing your TV from there. It's half that price with a TV. But I got mine for £100 delivered from Dixons, and funnily enough when it came the receipt was Currys. They are probably in bed together now along with PC world.
  14. A mate of mine from another forum's Grandad died recently, he used to be the co-driver for Rauno Aaltonen (sp?), his name was Tony Ambrose. Anyway he got to have a look around the car he co-piloted along with a few others. I think Chris W will like a few of these classics. http://www.rovertech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85062&highlight=
  15. I got a 42" Toshiba Regza X eries a few weeks before Xmas. The picture is stunning, even normal Sky+ looks great. Xbox 360 is awesome too. Coupled it up with a Samsung DVD/Theatre system and I love it. Even DivX films played off USB stick through the Samsung look great although a little letterboxed. It's a 1080p set and I think you can get them for about £799 now.
  16. What's wrong with Beirut Mike, keep off my turf
  17. I work at Samlesbury. As people have said there are nice places like Lytham, St.Annes, Freckleton, Warton itself to live but they all come at a price. I live in Ribbleton which is a bit rough in parts but I was brought up on one of the rough estates (Holme Slack), so it doesn't bother me. Avoid Callon unless you want to be front page news getting shot, aslo places like Moor Nook, Brookfield, Savick (Mike's turf ) I would recommend places like Bamber bridge, Lostock Hall, Penwortham, Fulwood and Grimsargh/Longridge. The latter 3 will get you less house for your notes but are very nice areas, I will be looking to move to places like these in a few years hopefully. But these areas are at the other side of Preston to Warton, so the commute would be a bit longer (around 20 minutes to 30) on main roads etc.

    Replacement Key

Got mine done at Timpson'ss about a skydiver.
  19. I think it was about £30-35. It was bought on the group buy on hee last year, and yes it was pretty simple to fit.
  20. I can offer some machining if anyone is after caliper re-location brackets. That's as long as Paul isn't bothered about his drawing being used. Looks a very nice setup.
  21. R34 without a doubt although I do love the 33. It's more a case of if money is the object I think. Most people would probably go for the 34 if they could afford one.
