  2. that my trouble the dash led located next to the 5 position adjuster knob never flashes. so i dont know if something has been disabled.the previous owner did not know what the buttom was when i bought the car.
  3. hi, i have rltc on my car but do not know if it works the rltc dash light never comes on and i can still brake traction the unit in the foot well is wired to the 6 injectors for the ecu this i have had confirmed.when exiting corners i can induce a distant faint rapid misfiring like sound is this the unit cutting power or is it the factory traction?what is that like? the roads really have been to dark and icy or too dry and nice to do more testing any ideas?

  5. no sign of fcd in footwell. however the lads confirmed that i do have rltc fitted i knew the button was on dash but as light doent work thought it may have been disconnected.again maybee it works and i dont realize, lets face it i didnt even know the first turbo wasnt making boost.they are going to investigate properly at next sevice.the day just gets better and better!.a big thanks to dave and rob at henstead motorsport who spent a good hour at a moments notice supplied the blue hose all for £25. what member has the silver veilside 620bhp single on 19 inch wheels in the workshop?.you should see the lambo diablo in for an engine rebuild with the lump out the back it looks like a pimped up pick up god that engine bay is big and the lump looked like a lancaster bomber engine sitting on the floor.mind you dave rekoned the car drove like a bag of shit and would have a jap motor anyday.i had to agree that it did have a kit car look about it close up. must cut down on the length of these posts sorry to bore

  7. update on the boost. good news! a massive thanks to john and others who have put me in the right direction. a slow trip to henstead motor sport, the lads saw straight away things not right .in the work shop was a bog standard jap spec so a full check of all pipes and the addition of some blue pipes in the missing places and the result.quite amazing! it seems like the 1st turbo was not boosting at all ,low to mid range power/touque feels like its doubled. not sure how higher end power is but second turbo doesnt kick in so madly.boost showed about .9 bar and on the one stretch of fast road reached.925 at about 120. our conclusion is that as my car is a damaged repaired the 1st owner was bpu and he ripped out boost controller and other bobs taking the pipes with him.The salvaged car was then fully repaired in body shop without them realizing as car still ran(well but not as we know it) anywhy the car has only done 1500 miles scince and only 30 miles in crap weather without the cats so i dont think any harm done. so to conclude the car is not as virgin as i thought as far as mods go but now all is just fine. thanks again
  8. thanks john, were getting somewhere.ill nip it back to henstead motorsport they not supra experts but they do know a lot about turbos. anything more i can tell them.? are there any pics of uk engine bays on here i cant seem to find any?. wish you were round corner seems like you know the uk setup inside out.   9. before i take car for miles to get looked at had another look and should these end pipes have hoses on them? isnt one of them the waste gate actuater?
  10. thanks for your input guys. where is a fcd fitted ? if my gauge is right and im hitting 1.25+ then i didnt feel the "brick wall "you guys talk about so i must have one?all hoses under bonnet seem fine any other ideas?. im really clueless im afraid
  11. just been out and checked all hoses they all look fine apart from that i dont know what im really looking at .cant see any tack on manual boost controllers.only fitted boost gauge today so dont know what it was boosting before decat-cat .was and still is running fine but now i worried about driving hard for fear of something going pop

  13. its a good blitz gauge so hoping is acurate. have never had fuel cut how drastic is it at 70 mph in gear? havent looked at pipes should this make a difference.car sure feels quicker,louder,

  15. just picked up the car after a full decat ,boost gauge and turbo timer the car is uk so i didnt get a restricter ring. result. 1.25-1.30 bar on way home at 4k revs couldnt work out if was getting fuel cut or not(too much wheel spin going on) was it traction cutting in?. so much for the uk waste gate was expecting 0.9-1 bar.have thor fcd to go on soon with boost controller and fmic. what shall i do? is it the almost freezing weather giving me so much boost? how much will it drop as it warms up? if it settles at 1.2 bar should i leave alone? or fit the controller

  18. wish i could do that .some of these guys hang round foreign resorts earning £500+ a week from impressed holiday makers so i was told when i saw a great one in the canary isles

  20. hi, my new car was bought as a damaged repaired the work was done by mach 1 motorsports in kent .quite near you? they have done a truly amazing job on the panal/paintwork the car looks stunning not just my opinion i would sure use them if i was in area.not sure on prices as bought car finished but have there no if you like plus photos of repair in progress. good luck with whoever you choose
  21. i read so much bad pub about the 19" wheels im going to change as im a driver at heart. shame as the split rims look great and was an influence in the purchace me thinking it was a performance upgrade same as the hks filter(now back on the airbox). when i put the 17"s on will the handling be great even though ive eibach lowering springs to go with the new bilsteins. i dont really want to replace the springs as well
  22. i love the supra but after reading many threads im lead to beleive the handling is compromized by my 19" wheels(bought with car).they look great cost a bomb but how much better are the 17"s car steers grips well but high speed 130+ is a bit twitchy. any other members had both sets and an opinion. dont want to lose the look for a small gain but if car is utterly transformed then may consider as above all i love driving prehaps im expecting too much from a 13 year old design
  23. if your going jap box to uk then no prob just shorten intake pipe from box no good other way though
