  1. 0-60 time - just nail your foot down and hang on! although if your after a good drag launch then search previous posts on autobox drag
  2. hi all, just like to thank all those at the poringland east anglia meet for making us welcome. had a great meal would like to have stayed longer but girlfreind wanted home(baby on board).look forward to next one. Richard
  3. unusual, but i think you are right they will look good on a white supra, will like to see!
  4. dont wish to offend anyone but that pile of crap should be broken for spares!!
  5. just another example of how good the stock supra looks
  6. i use mine .any car is fine. just dont use the power i have found mine very managable in any conditions
  7. great. got the car back witn new bilstein fitted. what a difference!! ride is now hard but perfectly acceptable for street did a 20 mile thrash on dry but cold roads and could not get the archeds to rub. ride hight at front has been lifted and rear has balanced. i know handling is not perfect as i am running 19"s and am a bit low but its good for a novice like me who loves the look of the set up and spends a lot of time in town anyway. have measured the ground to arch gap and there seems to be between 2-8mm diffence between wheels but i put this down to the wear of each spring(prehaps a wheel alighnment would help?) anyway this is not really visible to the eye.
  8. hi bud i have a few posts regarding this. i have 19"wheels and had eibachs see pictures in my posts. no probs no rubbing good handling and grip if a bit bouncy. however i have now fitted the bilsteins and car is rubbing and handling nervous we think we have found the problem being a leaking new bilstein but until this is replaced tommorow i dont know if the arch rubbing will be cured as the bilsteins seem to have lowered the front a little more than the ebachs.will post results tommorow. sorry if my saga is beggining to bore people. Richard
  9. a choice upgrade is not a hks induction kit they are from my experience crap and should be considered as molesting. i hear the teins are not to good .it may be a good car but consider this
  10. could lose power?how come by increasing the cooling aera then colder charge must help or is this negated by engine heat due to lost of rad cooling. what is a wi kit?
  11. as your obviosly a fan of toyota reliability forget the rangerover.unless its one of the very latest.they do have style and presence but everybody regrets buying them i did. as for 14-18mpg if thats what you get for the supra then allow 9mpg for the rangerover. have enclosed pic of my hack 2.5tdi audi this car runs on thin air 45mpg handles well, pretty refined, looks tidy and owes me next to nothing my best car comes and goes but i can see myself in this come another 5 years. Richard
  12. thats got to be the best £150 spent on your car in ages!
  13. yep further to my last post one of the new bilsteins is leaking ,this is the side that is low on the front and the opposite of the one high at the rear looks like this could be my prob it really crashes and bangs otver bumps on this side. thanks everybody for all the tech advice bilstein are sending a replacement ,if this dont work then im really screwed
  14. just been back to garage car on ramp spring seats correct way round.although it looks like front offside shock is leaking now what chris w rekons this will not effect ride hight but this seems like only thing left
  15. youve already got me down but i will have my girlfreind and maybe 1 child if you are booking table numbers cheers Richard
  16. hks induction kit for sale(i know i know)anyway offers? about 9 months 2000 miles old
  17. thanks to all look like you have found my prob even though garage didnt after removing them and refitting them. will be staight down in morning hoping i have not damaged anything in the 50 miles or so today(pretty hard miles).do you reckon it will cure the front end rubbing, too low prob ,it must help. thanks again
  18. hope this spring seat is the cure for the rear ride hight issue. anybody any ideas about the front end lowering thing anybody got 19"wheels with eibach bilsteins that crash the arches
  19. yes nearside rear is approx 15 mm higher
  20. havent had wheels realigned yet and im checking tyres right now but can this have made that much difference?
  21. can anybody explain why fitting bilstein sport dampers has actually raised the rear suspension on my supra one side slightly more than the other? about 15 mm more. the front is now slightly lower.told garage and they removed and refitted them after ensuring they were identical shocks still the same.are they missing something?.car was already fitted with eibach springs and still is shocks were done one at a time so are in same place as before .car does seem to handle but i dont feel it is right Richard
  22. hi, another return to air box. just removed hks induction kit and fitted stock airbox with new toyota filter.car now idles better goes better(this might be my imagination, as weather is cold any induction should be ok)and does not sound so messy although some people like this, i prefer a smooth engine with good growl rather than a turbo hover.most of all ensuring far less wear on my baby.incidently my car is uk but have fitted second hand jap airbox the only diffence being length of pipe to intake to allow for maf(air sensor) 27mm off with hacksaw(lost 1 mounting nut but still all very tight) all in all well pleased if i cant get garage to fit my ebay hybrid intercooler on with this(may need 1 pipe made up)then i may sell it on here but im not going back to the hks any offers for it 2000 miles only?
  23. oh and what is it with the springs being loose on the dampers ?.they thought it strange but ive seen something like it here before
  24. shocks unused new.springs perfect order.rears replaced before fronts so no mix ups.must be something wrong with fitting will find out tommorrw but its put a damper on things pardon the pun
