  1. still got stock shocks they were on the car this morning sitting perfectly just a bit bouncy i was really hoping the handling would now be perfect but its not right.im hoping they must have not seated one properly at the rear cant see how though and they are pretty reliable lads
  2. HMMM I beleive springs are pretty new and car sat perfectly before shocks fitted
  3. hi, just been to pick up supra had bilstein sport shocks fitted already running eibach springs 19" wheels.problems the 2 rears are a odd hight about 1 inch diffence clearance between arches. the hight on one side seems as was before and higher on the other from before. both fronts seem to have drooped a little and now just catches on wheels ,removing the middle inner arch nut seems to have cured this after some spirited testing roundabouts.the ride is harder/bumping/banging than before but handling well im not sure its any better than the uk shocks on before.any ideas about the rears.the garage have kept the car and are refitting rears tommorow they have said that the springs are loose on the shocks but i have seen threads regarding this before HELP PLEASE
  4. hi dodgy, have a race spec gt hybrid intercooler just arraived from japan via ebay it looks like a well made bit of kit all complete delivered 3 days for £406 inc.have yet to fit looks like will need one bit of pipe made to match the standard airbox which is going back on instead of hks induction.if after all efforts airbox doent fit then will purchace apexi.will post results next week
  5. yes john, you got it ,will give it a go myself can only help especially at low speed/idle when air flow is slow
  6. hi all, ok after some exhaustive research on this site i am planning to fit stock airbox to my newly purchaced uk supra(junking the hks dome fitted).as the main prob with aftermarket intakes is air temps i was thinking of insulating the stock box/intake pipe further with heat reflective tape have seen this done to a diffent car(not supra) elsewhere and i remember one guy on here having done the same anybody else have an opinion seems like a no lose upgrade not bothered about bling
  7. hi john glad you had good results with fmic my ebay hybrid has just arrived from japan it certainly looks pukka hope it performs as well as yours i also have hks induction kit which i now understand is the lowest of the low am hoping to replace with oem airbox if it fits with trunking. have you considered similar or does your hks suit the set up? Richard

    NOS IN N/As

hi, in response to lloydmcc`s original question. after my own experience with nos i woudnt do it. ok its great fun for dragracing but for street drives i found it very impractical. you would need a trailer full of bottles if you wanted more than a few squirts between refills.in hot weather its a bugger to fill from storage tank to veichle.you if going for big power you still need to uprate brakes etc. you need big bottles lying about(there not bbq size).i am glad i did nos( to a suxuki tuned gsx1260 efe 157 bhp rwhp at 210 kg) 10.01@144 1/4 mile but only to say ye`r ive had nos. turbo charging is the way for big reliable usable power. nos is for the finishing touch to an already tuned lump.my advice to you is sell the na and buy a twin turbo you will have fun every mile and your car will be worth far more at resale.hope ive not pissed off the nos fans, just my personal veiw. keep on hoofing it
  10. hi, is it in perfect cosmetic condition?
  11. no im the black supra new in town turning lots of heads check my pics in my posts see you at the meet cheers
  12. dont know how old you want to go but the nissan 4.2 deisels are the ultimate tonka toys they even do a turbo 4.2 deisel which is a touque monster the whole pacage is stronger built than landcruiser/shogun if a bit less refined.good for the united nations.new models are 2.8 deisels and 3.0 deisels first lacks touque for such a big truck and i believe the 3.0 has know head gasket probs. go for the 4.2 turbo and start rampaging

    bpu Q

because as far as i know uk cars have a larger waste gate which can safely limit boost while jap cars have the boost restriction in the cat/exhaust been looking to bpu my uk spec so think im right
  14. hi, i guess i must be fair i veiwed 3 supras i woudnt buy a car without a test drive but then i wouldnt expect a "good fast test "drive unless i was sure id like to proceed subject to car driving to my liking. the car i bought was obviously the owners pride and joy so i had a good look then said theres a carrier bag of money if i crash it and its my fault.obviously if anything let go at 110 mph 4k revs then thats different. i wouldnt expect to go 160 mph to see if it stayed together some people dont do that themselves anyway.
  15. heres my veiw. your consideration for auto manual should be based on your drives. i wanted a manual because its considered a true sports car but in reality 70% of my miles are in town 25% are on motorways and 5% are on country lanes in the end i bought an auto and am so pleased its like no other auto ive driven saab aero,e55 amgaudi a8 the power delivery is perfectly mated to the fantastic autobox and i have to agree with the coments about arcade game driving experience.i may try a few 1/4 miles in it once the bpu s are finished and i hear that the auto is superb for this better than the 6 speed unless you are a highly experienced drag racer.however when i bought the car i thought "have i done the right thing?" so i borrowed my girlfreinds celica 5 speed for a day and got bored changing gear on my journeys very soon. so think about what your miles will be ,your driving it not some track day fan off this site plus if you go for an auto you can go full bpu with the change.
