  1. I was always under the impression by comments from other drivers and team heads that Jenson Button was deemed as the hardest working and a PR dream in the paddock. Mixed bag of feelings about his awful start to the season, part of me is glad to see him in this position but he will be an irritating cry baby as he is not getting his own way. But if he does win he will just be an irritating c#@nt. Hopefully if he does not owe the sport anything, he will F off after his contract has expired.
  2. What's a speed jumper? Is it to delimit your Supra? Then no you do not need an FCD for that. You would need an FCD if you went for double decat as an example.
  3. Without doubt avoid eBay and gumtree, if you can, on here is best.
  4. Wildfiresupra is his name, not banned though but expired. So will be able to see this thread.
  5. Would still love to know who said member is, have a name earlier in thread but no profile name.
  6. + 1 Would not mind knowing who the plonker is, either FB or by PM.
  7. What a complete wanker, as said already they should and hopefully will throw the book at him. Cnuts like that give true car lovers a bad name.
  8. Without a doubt I love my wee boy, nothing compares to it. No fast cars, nothing.
  9. Kardashian's (every single one of them)
  10. Congrats, such a lovely motor. I would say being a father is a high high. No car can ever compare to the feeling of being a father.
  11. OEM ones go circ of £150 maybe more if in perfect condition and all fixings.
  12. Yes it will be, but if they are advertised/easy to get hold of i.e. website or phoning supplier if worried then the supplier is deemed as being as upfront about it as possible. Then it will be down to the consumer to actually change their own times witch is in their own property.
  13. Decade (non plural) barring economy meters 2 rates for gas and electric were brought in just after the gas and electric market opened up in 1998. This was to say that there were not going to be any standing charges. Some companies still stuck with single rate tariff and standing charge just before 2010. Single let rate has come back, as you quite rightly said the regulator (Ofgem not Ofcom by the way ) said it was too confusing. Scam is also a strong word to describe tariffs, but we all know the big six (well excluding NPower as they are skint) make a profit, but when I worked for BG the only people that they/companies made a profit on where people not in debt, and the profit they made on average per year per customer was just a shade over £5 for a duel fuel customer. Although Centrica made over a billion in profit the BG arm made a small contribution to that, and the bulk of its profits (BG) came from the services side of things (boiler breakdown etc) We all know that you can get cheaper energy away from the big six, but there operating costs a minimal compared to the big six, hence why the obvious larger tariffs. But consumers won't take a punt on the smaller companies, if they did, the market would be even more competitive. But I agree with your statement of it being a scam on it makes no difference when it is made, but on the other side of the coin is those storage heater systems are horrendously expensive to run hence the 2 rate meters. Alas, whatever way you look at it, energy prices are still high, but I think maybe still lower than in 1998. But you cannot cut them with massive impact and monumental job losses.
  14. Not really, Economy 7 or 10 meters are specificly designed for people with storage heaters, the store energy/ charge during off peak times. 7 & 10 meters have other uses, so no way in the slightest are they a scam. Even folk that that have got rid of their storage heaters still opt to keep the 7 & 10 meters if the use washer/dryer/dishwasher a lot.

    help please

The rumour (as banned from talking about them in case legal action is taken towards club) that there are very dodgy traders based out of High Wycombe. So so best to avoid anything from that area.
  16. Economy 7 meters or 2 rate (day and night readings) are pre set, however the times do vary from supplier to supplier, i.e. 11pm to 7am or 11:30pm to 7:30am. So it makes sod all difference, the time bindings should never change at the supplier. EDIT: Stand corrected based on below post, when I worked for BG it was a straight forward set time.
  17. I wonder if the highlights channel will be similar to how BBC and C4 do it now, few hours after the race. If so it might not be too bad. Strange it was mentioned I think on Chris Evans breakfast show by Vassos that drivers were moaning about aspects of F1 and one was they did not like the sport heading towards pay TV, low and behold this was announced later today.
  18. Expect Sky to offer out F1 channel for free for a period of time, then increase the price drastically. F1 commercial will then suffer and it will come back to terrestrial TV.
  19. This, but I find that Halfords own blades are not great and wear out quickly. So always stick with Bosch. Get your size and then come back online and may get it cheaper.
  20. Why is the classifieds even available to non members (I assume it is available in read only?). Been a lot of these types of threads, from twits that can't read the rules they agree to on sign up, then complain afterwards.
  21. I bet the in and out of competition drugs testing is strict. I can see the headlines now - 'Acne riddled 45 year old Bird Watcher who still stays with his parents, banned for 4 years after competing off his nut'
