  1. The blaming of the driving test is just an excuse with zero substance. Yes you are not allowed or taught on the motorway but you are allowed and taught on dual carriageways. So if you are taught to overtake and if safe to do so merge back into the left lane, this rule applies to 3 or 4 laned motorways. The rule does not automatically become exempt due to the number of lanes. Exactly this, the issue is not people driving in the middle/outside lanes and doing a speed where they are overtaking quite merrily. It is those that think it is acceptable to stay there and plod along and overtake only if they come across a vehicle that is going slower than them.......let's say some one who has sadly broke down fits the bill. I too do a lot of Motorway miles and it gets even more dangerous when you get said person in middle lane and a lorry is traveling quicker than them. Lorry drivers are up there chuff so much they can smell their deodorant, but middle lane higher still refuses to budge.
  2. I think it was only that severe as the numbnut failed to turn up at court. Probably would have been 3 points and smaller fine. Don't mind lorry drivers if I am being honest, as they have a right to be there and overtake etc etc, it is annoying that they spend miles trying to overtake, but I would say they are not so much a danger on the road as the twats that cannot filter back into left lane when overtaking resulting in tailbacks as they are 100% unnecessary making one lane out of action as you are (legally) not allowed to undertake. At least lorries once they have wasted miles of road overtaking filter back in. The amount of times with the miles I do in a year get people filtering onto Motorway or Dual carriageway and signal to first lane, pause then signal into middle lane and sit there. Feck all in the left lane for them to overtake.
  3. At last someone has been convicted for hogging the middle/outside lane. It is one of the most irritable things driving on our roads (yes I know there are worse things blah blah). Hopefully this is just the start of things to come with it. Five penalty points and ordered to pay a £500 fine, £400 in costs and a £40 victim surcharge in his absence. Ok, fine etc was mainly because he failed to turn up at court to maybe get 3 points and a small fine, but still.
  4. Co stars that could in theory work in my eyes Jason Plato Tiff Needell Sabine (although her cringe worthy presenting skills would eventually get on my nerves) Jodie kidd And a couple of out there's........ Jimmy Carr Boris Johnson (good replacement for James M)
  5. Obviously only in my humble opinion but I think those 2 would possibly ruin the rebirth of TG. I like Rowan and out of the 2 he would probably be good at it, Steve on the other hand is in my list of people that should never grace our TV's again. A bit like VBH. I like Evan's made breakfast radio worthwhile especially now snore Wogan has been moved to only Sunday's, however I will reserve judgement till the 1st series is over.
  6. The sending email address is [email protected]...........? is it .co.uk or .com?
  7. Very true, it will be back to Formula Snore next week. If only the BBC would get the rights to the BTCC, to many adverts in the ITV offering.
  8. Great result today, long may it continue. Also great result for JB.
  9. What, anymore dangerous than passing a car for a place. The only difference in this aspect is the car being lapped is a lot slower. So really whats the difference? Are blue flags not there so not to interrupt the leading cars. It is like saying lapping Jenson is dangerous as he is being shown a blue flag............really? They are paid millions or maybe not as much as the leaders but these guys are meant to be the best in the world, hardly seems best in the world when they get to the back of the field and they have to get out the way. Where is the talent then? And yeah that goes for all sports.
  10. The other thing I would love to see getting ditched is 'Blue Flags'. Yes you have Kimi's outlook on it that if you do not want blue flags drive faster, but we all know that is not easy to do in F1's current state. On flip side of this, the drivers all proclaim talent so should that not mean getting passed all obstacles? I am sure that removing blue flags would make it interesting with drivers not having to yield when being lapped.
  11. Totally disagree with that, well apart from the spectacular point. But for me and it is all about personal opinion bring back refuelling, free choice on tyres is brilliant. For me they should go back to testing all the time and spend the Bucks wherever and whenever. Alas with that approach we would not get enough teams.
  12. Also check this http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?142251-Which-headlight-bulbs-for-JSpec-and-UK-Spec
  13. Have you checked the bulb that is already in there, awesome place to start. (That is what I did when I bought mine)
  14. The amount of chavs that drive Supra's now I would not be surprised.
  15. Great memories growing up watching him and Orvil RIP http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32495447
  16. 100% agree, I was gutted when the transfer box failed as the car was faultless otherwise. Cleanest engine bay of any car I have had, not a single sign of oil anywhere. If it was not for the near £2k price tag to get it fixed (new parts) I would never have sold it on. Tried 2nd hand boxes, but the 2 I bought I was dubious on fitting them as they did not look good enough to take a gamble on.
  17. I loved my XC70. It was a D5 one of the last before Ford cheapened the Volvo brand. The car was bullet proof right up to the point of transfer box failing, but it had 192k miles on it and was not economical to repair. I actually miss that car.
  18. Maybe people actually do not like him because he is a dick. Yes he is faster than Rosberg, but people can dislike someone for other reasons, no shocker that it is not all about how fast he is.
  19. If there are other wires there then yes it is an aftermarket mod, fog light in one of the reversing lenses is common. Saves the unsightly hanging ones or even worse the ones that you cut into the bumper. I would get rid of the wires and maybe do a fog light mod?
  20. Hmm, I saw this on FB around my area S. Yorks about arrows on driveways and dog knappers and I thought it was a wind up and some kid just with chalk. May be some truth in it.
  21. Love old Volvo's, then ones in the link are very nice. Although soft spot for the P1800.
  22. Like soooo many other 'Hollywood celebs' and even not celebs but successful business people. That is great, fantastic even not going to try and deny that. However what about the other countless people that raise thousands, hundreds of thousands for Charities that never get a mention? Speak for yourself, but alas I am sure he did. Also sure that even though I am a big fan of F&F (except TD) they are probably responsible for the chav culture the Supra seems to be getting/has now. I get that he was a great guy, but there are countless others who have done the same if not more. But it seems it is purely down to he was leading actor (if you can call it acting) in a successful franchise, again just hype.
  23. I just do not get the Paul Walker hype, he was a really bad actor and just because he loved cars he is the best thing since sliced bread. Also all these stickers that he inspired a generation, what a load of tosh. Don't get me wrong, very sad loss to go out like that but I just do not get it.
  24. It's only a car, I never get this upset/can't let it go malarkey. Granted I miss my Supra's, well one of them anyway. And I want another, but sad to sell them nah! As I said it's only a car. Something that is replaceable.
