  1. LOL, my cat most certainly does not spray her scent She crosses her legs if it is raining outside and absolutely refuses to go in the house - which is good as it means I rare have to change the litter tray As for rats not spraying their scent... err... They just tend to constantly let out little weeps of urine where the walk and little lovingly crafted currents on you. I used ot live with a guy in University that had a rat called Spud, used to handle him all the time then noticed how much he pissed on me and anybody else that handled him! Cats are very loving A lot of people don't like them as they are bloody minded and only come when they want to - I actually admire that quality in an animal Not so bloody needy. As for your cat Burna mate - proper mouser that one :D Has to be pretty tough to take out a squirrel too, seen one cornered before - they are no pushovers.
  2. Rik Mayall went through a similar patch a few years back (1998?), touch and go with a serious head injury, talk of brain damage etc after a quad bike accident... he came through in the end, so there is always hope that the hamster may still pull through. Not sure he will ever be 100% again if he does, we can only hope.
  3. They belonged to the squirrel... think he had puffed one too many, hence he wasn't quick enough to get out of the cats murderous rampaging path Gotta love the snuggly wuggly fur balls... Mine mostly brings me moths. The odd occasion she has jumped through the window with a bird pinned behind its wings, but hasn't killed it - let it go in the front room - what a mess of bird shite and feathers that causes!
  4. I didn't own my own car until 1998 grand ole age of 23.. and then it was only a fiesta... so I had lots of friends with access to big fast mean cars, I just couldn't afford to put the petrol in them let alone tax and insure ... Now I have the Supe... and I sitll can't afford to fuel, tax and insure the beast ... but she's my reason for smiling every morning when I turn the key.. so what are ya gonna do eh? My brothers friend had a rather wealthy dad and got himself a twin charged (I think that is the term when you have a supercharger with air bleed and a big single turbo) Renault 19 (I think it was a 19) when he was 18 putting out some sick power. Although I don't believe he ever had a chance to write it off as the police pulled him over every 1/2 mile As long as the guy doesn;t write the car, himself or anyone else off, more power to him (* bastard *).
  5. Hola Amigo, Welcome aboard, nice looking car

    Half Cut

Oh, I forgot to say - possibly a slightly better forum for asking for bits and pieces will be the: Parts Wanted bit. Not everyone reads the general chat/supra chat forums for this kind of thing, some people who may be more likely of use to you lurk there. Edit: lol Jake, just as I was posting

    Half Cut

Half cut... usually something *I* am late on a friday evening - also sounds like something a Rabbi with a nervous shake might do ... to be honest I hadn't heard the term until I went and googled as you said heh Wasn't clear until about the 5th place I visited (still not 100% sure) - but it seems to refer to a car that someone is breaking - and the front/back is a slightly more specific way of saying you aer after engine bits, or body bits from a damaged breaker car. Not *that* obvious if you don't know the term
  9. Hellooo there, and welcome. And lets face it - chicks that dig cars are hot!! Mine just goes all glassy eyed when I talk engine or something
  10. Hope he gets through this. He really is one of the geuninely likable chaps on TV.
  11. It does seem for the most part this kit is a good way for someone to go single on the "cheap", as in the IC's I have also heard are very good quality for the dosh (definately looks the business to my untrained eye), and the manifolds these days are sturdy enough and a reasonable design - just not necessarily all that well finished by the looks of things (some ugly bits). The turbo is the only really worrying bit for me now - I am half tempted to just run it seeing as I have it and keep an eye on the beggar and put my fedback into this general forum about my experiences - take one on the chin so to speak. My desire to do something bigger and better (or smaller even) may well come before the end of this turbos life, but who knows.
  12. Cheers amigo. Much appreciated. *sorry not meaning to hijack thread or scare anyone, I am in a similar boat atm though heh *
  13. Do you have a piccy of the tubbie you had fitted mate, want to check it aint the same one I have - if it goes, it goes I guess I will have to lay out a bit more dosh - catastrophic failures are best nipped in the bud though . If you have the turbo fitted and the seals go what are the symptoms? (Being a noob to turbos) i.e. is it glaringly obvious plumes of steam from under the bonnet, or is it more insidious and needs regular inspection. How much damage will that cause? (sounds painful). But I have the bit, want to destroy - err - drive it for myself first
  14. I believe there is nowt wrong with the turbos from XS power - there were a lot of ooold threads based around a kit that SS autochrome (I think) were selling for other specs of vehicle (not the Supe) - where the housing was coming away on some of the turbos and the manifolds they sold were cracking (old design and for 4 bangers not 6). I believe most people dabble with changing the standard supplied tubbie as they are generally quite laggy with a laaarge AR but twin port to reduce lag effect I believe (not just a hooooge hole but two). Had to do some mods on the turbo I picked up to make it a better fit on the down pipe, but that was it, the rest seems fine. I had a chappy check the manifold and the tubbie out due to all the shite slanging I saw about this kit *after* I picked it up on the cheap (lol - always the way) and he reckons the kit should be fine and is well worth the cash anyway - as long as it is fitted corectly. Quite a few threads on manifolds going were due to people inappropriately supporting the turbo - i.e. over bracing, and bracing against something other than the engine (not a good idea when the engine moves independantly of the item you just braced against ). I will let you know how my conversion goes Hopefully sooooon.
  15. white & Nerdy Hopefully not a repost, made me laugh my proverbials off this morning!

    New Girl!

Lada Riva 1200L -> Fiesta -> Supra... I know what you mean Oh and welcome aboard.. I just realised haven't started welcoming folks yet - how lame am I?
  17. Is this true for most top secret bonnets (or is it cheap clones?) - just curious, don't have one or intend on getting one - but good to know!?
  18. Good luck with this dude. Just good that nobody was hurt and it is all just an argument over liability in the end shame the supe had to take ahit though
  19. Dude, like you need our approval to alleviate your spending urges mmmm car stuff... bling... automotive pr0n hahaha... Don't ask for my approval... you have it by default
  20. The only other piece of advice I can offer is... never admit fault.. even if it *was* yours. *shrug* - it is the advice my old man always gave me Kinda grates I know especially if you are an honest soul that thinks hard about these things. Trust me - the other guy always trys it on, if it is their fault - they will always try it on. Insurance companies, will always try and not pay, the other guy will always blame you... two facts of life. You need to cut back on your costs the best way possible. Up to you amigo. You seem to be torn with this respect. I personally think you were not in the wrong in my eyes. Stupid fecker indicating when they shouldn't have been - my personal pet hate.
