  1. Motorbike size but not the really small ones , as you will get pulled, It fits straight onto the existing standard front Number plate plinth too, and is almost exact size of standard plinth Length 30cm (300mm) Hight 7.5cm (75mm) Sure you'll get one at JAE for about £10, Large standard plates look rubbish as do square plates.. As for sticky on plates on the front panel............. is all that about.... talk about totally distroy a cars looks very 70's . But I suppose that will upset someone saying that... and they'll reckon it looks cool Insurance no prob for me... my N/A is £297 fully comp protected
  2. I got from Watford to Peterborough and back to Watford on £20.00 last year @ steady 75mph I used less Petrol than some friends that followed us up in a 1.1 Saxo !!!
  3. Iam coming on the Saturday, So do i JUST Pay 2x adults @ £10.00 EACH and just drive in on to the club stand??
  4. Got 5in Jap pipe on mine Supra Lancaster bomber sound comes to mind
  5. Thats good to hear, shame not all are the same, Some of the displays i've seen beggar beleif,[sHOCK][/sHOCK] What really winds you up is how do they get insured..... Know what you mean about the hosepipe ban ( does getting up at 7.00am Saturday morning ring any bells ha ha ) But hey I dont water the garden, dont have a dishwasher, and don't have 3 kids bathing every night so 1x bucket of water and a 30 second sprinkle with the hose once a week i think is justified, Perhaps if the leaks were fixed we would have this problem .... its not that there is actually a water shortage ...
  6. 120 - 132 miles around town = £18.00 - £20.00 ish usually put back in at beginning of week again 36mpg is best i've had on a long run at steady 70-75
  7. I reckon this maybe the way it will go you know Pick up a mint NA for peanuts and turbo it... Not sure how it would compare in performance to the TT though, But they reckon the NA is so understressed in the engine dept that they can take a fair bhp hike , Wonder if the mod will make it more realiable than the TT too and less temprementle ( spell check!!) We'll have wait with baited breath and see what Lucifer comes up with aye guys..
  8. Crap. Mates got one, TT's are just a tarted up Golf at the end of the day and are heavy and cramped. A looker yes, but no go even the 3.2 v6 jobby. too heavy!! and all the 4wd robs all the power,, why do you need 4wd on a hairdressers car??? 6.8 0-60 at a push
  9. Anything below 7 secs is fast , below 6 is very quick Even the big BM's and some of the M Series are only 7 - 8 secs same with the Turbo Audis, A N/A Supra is faster than a Audi A6 Quattro twin turbo, My boss had one ( he is a young fast and compentent driver) .. trust me been there killed that... I have nooooo turbos either Only thing which dId suprise me though and is slighlty quicker of the mark until I hit about 25 - 30mph and then i'm back on form is the wifes RX8, But that does rev to 9000rpm ... oooh and what a soundtrack, and a beeper too to tell you to change gear.... sublime Rotary howl !!!
  10. Supposedly only 1 second or less between Auto /man Not really much of a difference considering, Just MPG is much worse on an Auto especially around town
  11. If your 80 years old and on a sunday drive !!
  12. Mine was timed bang on 6 secs ( Manual )
  13. yep and they'll be £3 - 4k piles of crap... Trouble is every idiot got in on the Jap import scene and gave the proper dealers a bad name, They not converted properly, stupid fog lamps and sometimes clocked ( Cars aren;t clocked in Japan and they aren't stolen either, you can't export unless they are de registered.. trouble starts when they get here and the idiots buy them, mr ted in a shed who blags his way into a UK Auction or is brave enough to import himself, ebay isn't helping
  14. Thanks Have you dimensions of stickers??
  15. Just simple website address for a rear window would be great or some small decals for the skirts??? Currently got my friends import site website decals on my sideskirts for a bit of free mobile advertising for him throughout the summer at all the shows
  16. I've got one of those small motorbike ones on, never been pulled, A PC guy i know said it still reads on their equipment and it would be a very sad and bored copper that would pull me, No probs with MOT too..
  17. check your cv joints on the driveshafts. I had inner o/s go and nice clunky grinding sound maga bucks from Toyota so had my driveshaft rebuilt Also a rear caliper my be binding
  18. When you think I sold my FTO last year and the Supra was £150 less to insure a year!!! For me a TT Supra was £10 more to insure than a FTO, making it £496 fully comp protected Renewed my insurance this year and the Supra was only £297.00, What made me laugh though is "more than" insurance sent me a quote for a Mondeo 1.8lx ( ashamed to admit it) i had 5 years ago ( so up todate records then) and the quote was £140 more than my Supra, So yep i reckon the chavs will soon realise what they can buy reasonably cheaply and insure too, Even the max power nights that were held at Ace Cafe London were steadliy becoming Jap nites as all the kids had grown out of their silly french cars and realise now what they can have, Scary thought early 20 somethings in a TT or a Skyline... better off just giving them a machine gun!!
  19. Current value NA start at £4995 and that is cheap from a dealer TT start around £6500 for a 93-94 in standard unmolested form - up to £11000 for something with 400 ish bhp TT Prices may start increasing again though as they are getting hard to source over in Japan now that the Russians are big into Jap imports, They are really pushing up the Auction prices sadly, my friend has just comeback ( visited Nismo racing and top secret while there too) His buyer took him to one auction (17000 cars) and need a bus to get around!! , he said he was drooling at what he could bring over ... sadly no model reports and ESVA puts a stop on it ... 700bhp Supes you could pick up there for about £11000 those days are now gone, same with Skylines, In USA TT's either l/h or rh drive can command upto $90.000
  20. Looked at 7 last year when N/As were still in the £7 -£7500 mark, And boy was there some crap... Ended up getting get my friends at http://www.autobmc.co.uk to bring me one in from Japan , all sorted and immaculate £6700. otr

    Hiya got a car

Sounds Nice , you won't be disapointed and the club scene is superb, You can get great dress up parts too look on http://www.type-f.co.uk/store/index.php Great Alloy dash parts Rings dials etc FTO owners lavish on their cars and really seem to love them i found in the 2years i owned one , I find the Supra guys are just into power and unless you have a TT not interested ... totally different people to the FTO club, who lavish money on the FTO as its such a fantastic looking car, i came across many TV celebs at meets andshows that own and FTO Steel silver was the best, but you must have the later pinky Symphonic silver??? Never got to drive a Manual one, but the Tip model was great ( best of both worlds) Mivec isn't that important as the performance is the same until you hit 8000 rpm then you get another 20bhp ... but who drives at 8000rpm . So not worth the extra money and insurance... Hard ride in standard but need to be lowered by around 25mm, but beware when you lower and uprate them the ride is bloody hard!!!! trust me the Supra after my FTO was like driving on a bouncy castle FTO responds really well to Induction kit.... and the V6 growl with a filter on is just adictive

    Hiya got a car

I had an FTO for over 2 years, And you know what what ... i'd have another tomorrow like a shot, As an everyday use car package they are excellent cars, I can honestly say i could not fault the car, and in someways it is better than the Supra, The fto was very much ahead of its time with its technoloy, It had Tiptronic before Porsche !!! and the Autobox has a self learning brain that adapts to your driving style Ok Good performance for a 2.0 litre with no turbo, but you need to drive in Tip to make it really go and with Aston Martin / Jag XK looks , very economical the list goes on ... oh and a proper boot, But this will suprise you.... You should have bought a N/A Supra .............. why????? Simple reason ... insurance because the Supra cost me £150.00 a year less to insure than the FTO, (fully comp) i'm 39 Have max 9+ years NCB Insurance is always Fully comp + protected Clean lincense When i had the FTO last year, for just another £10.00 per year on my premium i could insure a TT Supra !!! Fully comp + protected work that out The FTO is grp 20 ( unless you have the pathetic 4cyl 1.8) I currently insure my Supra for £297.00 fully comp protected with a Cat 2 Thatcham Imobiliser fitted...
  23. tried that but only allows you to paint stuff on pic, I have XP, But can't see where you reduce its size...
  24. Anything with a pulse and i'm happy.........
