Wheel offsets work as follows The larger the number e.g 50mm the wheel will sit further into the arch and possibly foul the calipers the smaller the offset number e.g 35mm the further the wheel will sit out of the arch. Many people get this the wrong way around And don't forget to make sure you are supplied the correct hub spigots with the wheels as well I beleive the Supra is 60mm A useful company i used that supply wheels @ very compeitive prices and also sell on e=-bay are as follows http://www.performancealloys.com Go on this site click on Alloy wheel bar at top FIND BY SIZE click on 18 in wheel section advanti racing wheels wheels 5 spokes with polished lip £109.00 each, first on page CLICK FOR DETAILS You will see a pic of my Supra under customers cars next to pic of wheel Excellent wheels and service ( next day) c/w with all nuts and spigots

No probs , it only took about 20 mins to do, although in you may need to bend it about a little to clear the cone etc, if it touches the cone you may get a tizzing, The N/A seems to respond very well to a induction kit and i have noticed it is better on fuel too under normal / cruising driving compared to the standard and rather restricted Air box, I have left the original top intake in place, you need to attach this with a L braket to the new plate as it will only be left on with 1x bolt other wise. I have yet to work out and install cold Air ducting off the original piping, This will need to look good as well as do its job though. Go for it... I say Many negative opinions seem to come from TT owners, but perhaps the TT doesn't respond well to a kit??? compared to the N/A BUT the NA does providing you use a heat sheild and ducting, I had very good results from my FTO as well. I have noticed though my N/A with the HKS kit fitted makes the car much more responsive particulary under the 5K power band. 5K and above ....it really flys!!! I have wondered though. whether mine has had Cams fitted?? in Japan ( although smooth idle) as it does seem to appear to be much quicker than any other N/A both myself and my importer has driven. 0-60 was recently timed ...(5 times by timing equipment) .... each time we got 6.0 secs dead.. not bad i thought Unless mine is just set up properly perhaps e.g ign timing etc etc ??? , although i am aware the NA comes on cam at 5K.and then becomes a different car altogether, It may not be a TT but it still spanks most things on the road.. Only mods i'm aware of are HKS Induction Kit / Jap exhaust (loud!!) and the chip but i haven't checked the chip out yet.

When you remove the std Air box you will see two threaded holes on chassis leg Take 1x sheet of Alloy 1.5 - 2mm approx 30cm long bend approx a 1in lip on it at bottom drill 2x holes to line up with the holes on the chassis. make the sheild height just below your original Air intake that sits on top of Rad, When you remove std Airbox you will have to make a little bracket to the remaining top Intake tube and new sheild to hold the pipe in place as it will now only have 1x bolt holding it on mythe Rad To be honest once you strip it and have a sheet of Alloy it pretty much makes sense you will see what you have to do. SEE ATTACHED PIC and a pic of my Supra

just make your own heat sheild, Took me about 20 mins, a sheet of alloy with a 90 degree lip at bottom there are 2x holes already in chassis that take 2x 6mm bolts, this sorts out the heat problem if any and also stops any crap from the fan hitting the filter True HKS element cone is crap ( considering cost) uprate it to BLITZ stainless mesh type or Apexi or KN Filter you need a 100mm neck fitting Since putting my HKS induction kit on my N/A... it flys..... especailly at night or when temp is cold... but then all car will do that as cold air = more power My car is also alot better on fuel 25 - 26mpg around town 34 - 36 on a long run... that is better than my mates Ford Focus!!! And no i don't poodle in it either, I got 156 miles from £20.00 last week on a decent run and town work For some reason there seems to be a lot of negative opinions on induction kits, The TT runs much higher temps under the bonnet. so there may be a possibility that you'd be better off with a standard filter... MAYBE.. If in inductions kits are so bad guys why are they all used in Motorsport?? I think truth be known most people just don't know how to set up a proper cold air feed and heatsheild Personally my car runs better than it did with a standard box, it used more fuel . even with a new Airfilter.. And my last car a Mitsubishi FTO was the same, much better and efficent with an induction kit...

Supras are not as simple with speedos etc get it done proffessionally as there are a few different wiring diagrams odo will cause most probs you can get trip to clock up in miles but it WILL still show KM sign Overall mileage will still show in km's you cant re- clock the fig back down to miles so if your car had 110kms on it when you got it for example it will still clock up from 110ks but in miles not Km's So looks like car has done over 100k MILES... A bugger really ALSO PAY FOR A DECENT CHIP THAT CAN BE CALIBRATED!! so if you decide to change wheels / tyres etc the speedo can be correctly calibrated, A £50.00 chip is what it is... crap and from past experience with imports they last about 2 years. you get what you pay for..

It's ACE Cafe time again Next Tuesday night
blitz supra replied to blitz supra's topic in National Events
Where were you guys?? There was a very poor show of Supras this month guys!!!, There was a Red and white one there only, Lui was there, and filled me in on progress with his Supra, Should be back on the road next month looking VERY DIFFERENT.. loads of extra and goodies fitted. It was a good night though and weather was good until 11pm. Perhaps there will be a good turn out next month of Supras. -

ON A LIGHTER NOTE AND TO TRY AND INJECT A LITTLE HUMOUR INTO THIS HORRIBLE THREAD AND SOME BAD LUCK for Lui... Hey Lui I know you wanted to lose that stick - on front n/plate but surely there was a cheaper way... LOL!! Welcome back mate, hope she's back up and running for Nov Ace Cafe meet
-
Well said. If your reading Lui... chin up mate... hope the car gets fixed very shortly and hope to see you back in the fold and enjoying the car and all the meets very shortly... there are many of us who have been quite disgusted and embarrased by some of the comments made on this subject, but shit happens and we move on... Look forward to seeing you and the Supra very soon mate.

Croxley Green is between Watford and Rickmansworth and is about 3 mins from the Chorleywood Turn off on the M25 J18 Or come off M1 @J5 and just follow signs for Rickmansworth.
-
No meets that I know of in the Herts area, I'm in the Watford area But I have mentioned on the Jap UK Meets forum a few times about trying to have a "bolney style" meet at Croxley Green in Watford as there is a long stretch of road with loads of greens to park the cars up on both sides and there are 2x pubs next door to each other, so no probs for drinks and food, This would not be a replacement to Bolney as Bolney is "Bolney" a bit of Jap culture now that we all look forward to, But Croxley would be good to have as another social gathering and meet on the calandar, With perfect access from the M1 and M25 for all those who wished to attend Just an idea ... A few views on a Croxley Green meet would be great

Here here James well said.... We had a chat about this at the Pod on Sunday while you were waiting to go up the strip.. Correct the guys who go to the Ace regularly and know Lui, know the full story, so the slating and slagging off is not cool guys.. Very easy for some to slag him off calling him a c**t ( very friendly ) etc which to be honest is not nice especially as we are all supposed to be enthiuasts of the Supra when they clearly don't know the facts and don't know Lui... I doubt it it gave him a buzz or made made his cock grow bigger as has been mentioned before in this thread!!! by a very freindly chap Some of the comments made have been embarrasing and nasty for a club ... friendly bunch!!! It was caused mainly by an idiot in an uninsured car (apparantley) not just by Lui going to fast.. an unfortunate chain of events, As you say to get the speeds being quoted in a few yards well he would be pulling 9's or less all day at the pod.. I'm not going to comment on this anymore as its been a bit of an eye opener, some comments made have been not nice
-
This is good that everyone expresses their opinion, This is what a forum is really about.. I too don't speed up there as I take my 12 year old lad with me.. we have been going since the very first meet It has just come across that he has been made a bit of an example of, when there are many many people who drive fast there, it used to be a quick blast 1-2nd and that was it immediatley, now you get idiots driving past above 30mph, not good in such a confined space I totally agree I agree there should be more control there.... And no it doesn't make my cock grow with the buzz, I have a wife for that.. Thought this was a discussion about the Ace and how things are getting out of hand ??? not about my cock I for one would be the first person to be gutted if it got shut down because of idiots, There are some really great guys and Ladies that go there every month, and some real friends have been made over the years. I agree lets put this discussion to bed now as some of the comments aren't really nice Hope everyone has a great day at the Pod tomorrow and leaves the Racing for the Track
-
Hi What about Croxley Green in Watford 1 mile stretch of road with greens both sides and two pubs side by side Access from J19 M25 (3 mins)
-
I think lessons have been learnt, with any Supra TT you have to know how to drive it, You see young guys with them who can afford the insurance but not experienced... you may as well give them a gun.. But everyone goes to the Ace for the entertainment IF YOU ARE REALLY HONEST... I feel this was unfortunate and maybe just lack of experience on Luis part in the car, and events ... but true the speeds are getting out of hand up there... This seems to be a bit of a witch hunt... it's mentioned on all forums and everyone is bad maouthing Lui which to be honest isn't really fair guys... We have all done it up the Ace, we all put our foot down... why else would we have a jap performnce car?? Perhaps the guys who speed and act like dicks every month should think hard.. I have met Lui, he didn't come across a a boy racer, he was really proud of his car and was looking forward to Santa Pod etc as he has not long had it, I think this is a real downer for him, Humilating the guy like this all over the net I think is unfair and has turned into a bit of a witch hunt Well thats my view... Hope he was ok, and no one was injured.. THAT IS THE QUESTIONS WE SHOULD BE PUTTING FORWARD.
-
No...luckily.... I thought it was a compete waste of time anf fuel... was not happy after sitting in a 1hr jam on the M25 Ace Cafe Jap meet week Tues night and then Jap Performance Santa Pod on the 9th Oct. Then its pretty much it for the year... Ace Cafe each month and then we start again with Bolney in April.
-
Missed that what a total tw**t but then you'd expect that if he drives a Rover...

It was RUBBISH!!!!

Did anyone go to Jap Perfpormance mag show yesterday (sat 24th) Was well disapointed... there was more cars in the car park!! Real shame as had been looking forward to it... Paid a tenner to get in as well !!! Is it me or is everyone under the same opinion? We have all been doing the Jap scene now for a few years... and the mags now all think its something really big ... hello it has been for years. but WHY IS IT NOW TRYING TO BE MADE INTO SOME BIG MONEY EARNER... JAE Billing started off £6.00 a car.. JAE Peterborough £15.00 per person... come on!! what next £10.00 for the Bolney meet!! and £10.00 per person for Ace Cafe!! this is not what its about... Would be great to hear others views on this Highlight of Sandown was bumping into a few of the guys from the Ace, They were p..sed off too, having travelled all the way down to Sandown to find nothing, it could be walked around and out again in 15 mins, come on Jap Performance mag... what was that all about, you have been hyping this show all year, certainly didn't justify a tenner each.. mmmm.. can't wait for Santa Pod on the 9th.. a real day out To be honest the Ace has more to offer on a Tues night than Sandown did and that is free!!

You guys just don't know what you are missing... Jap Performance night is held 1st Tues of every month Usually upto 100 + cars and 400 - 500 people It gets very entertaining out front on the road....Yes Ace Cafe is a small venue but some of the biggest get togethers and meets happen there... This year alone, some great nights had with huge jap presence XXX2 DVD Night Steetlife TV Dukes of Hazzard night ( funny it was dominated by Jap cars) A great night is had by all and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the club members last week... very nice guy... I have been going for about 3 years now... and its packed usually even when its snowing!!! Perhaps give it a try for October ( 1st Tues every month) There are usually 3 or 4 of us in our Supras, We even get treated now and again when a group of drifters turn up... good laugh had by all...

Hi In reply to all the oil questions I currently run my NA Supra on Duckhams semi synthetic 10/40 Thinner or spaecial oils may be need in a TT but that is a totally different case as its more powerful and runs a higher temps etc no comparison to the NA. I reckon anything thinner than 10/40 and you will burn it, mine does use a very small amount of oil but nothing even worth bothering about ( my bosses Audi did 1 litre per 1000 miles) But if driven hard I put in say less than 1/4 litre or less in a month I get no top end rattle on start up either and its done about 65k miles Fuel on a NA Supra Now this is amusing The fuel i use normal 95 RON, Why are you wasting your money on Optimax if you haven't got a Turbo!!! :thumbdown All JapTurbo cars have to run on 100 RON minimum as standard in Japan. The best we have in UK is 98 RON which is why Jap TT Supras need a booster, or better still a re-map or ECU change or you are no where even close to your 280BHP (Gentlemans agrrement) figure, those figures are quoted on 100 RON in Japan, Maybe a different case with a UK Spec TT as they are set up for 98 RON fuel Scoobies (impretza ) in Jap spec are borderline blow up over here as you must run them on nothing lower than 100 RON minimum or melt down as soon as you open them up Even boosters are not reliale which is why most owners have them re-mapped and a Motec ECU fitted But on a NA Supra This is a total pointless venture using optimax, you will see little if nothing in power gains.. its all in YOUR mind. I had a FTO before and that was a very clever car it adjusted its self to use either 95 or 98 again no power difference as well as a self learning gearbox that has its own brain( very clever car) My other car is a RX8 again its non turbo and its a Rotory and it runs on 95 RON, as stated by Mazda, or I can put 98 RON in it, again no difference, in Japan it uses 100 RON as thats all they have. So moto is.. save your money... spend it on some nice mods instead of wasting it on fuel which it drinks and costs a bl++dy fortune here in Rip off UK as it is .

Just to add to this My ODO Still shows km but clocks up in miles however i was told that the actual "total mileage covered" will now clock up much slower with the odo now showing in miles, (although km still on screen) i was told roughly add 6k miles on per year onto the total km figure on the total miles covered If so my car shows 102000 kms can this be converted to miles and corrected to the correct miles figure not 102000 miles? This should then read correctly with both odo and total miles no longer in kms hope this isn't to confusing
