  1. If you have a spoiler you'll never get a high mount on there at all. You could always have a tow bar fitted and get one of the tow bar mounted carriers
  2. I have a HKS SSQV fitted to my vvti and no problems as yet.
  3. If you have all the rotatives and the journals etc replaced then the turbos should be as new as long as the chra is sound. If anyone is going this route and feels they may have issues with housings or chra's then if you strip them down to components i'll happily get them plastic media blasted and NDT'd for you at work
  4. Addition to the info the option cable has 3 pins on the EMU the left hand pin is the 0-5v input from the wideband the centre pin is not used and the right hand pin is to the wideband earth (as you would plug it into the EMU) Sure this may be something people know but it may help in a search
  5. Just for info if you cut down a 4 pin audio connector from a cd drive or a floppy drive power plug from 4 to 3 pins its fits beautifully.
  6. Whens Pod going to be as unless i have got the wrong date tis this Saturday I can possibly get my EMU friday as the car is 40 miles away from where i live but i would need it straight back to get my car from where its parked to my house on the Sunday
  7. I'm on the fence with that one i can see the benefits and the downfalls. However you are correct in saying i didn't adjust the fuelling/timing. I'm open to any offers of TTC EMU maps for a bpu auto vvti though . Doesn't the soarer use pretty much the same turbo set up in True Twin? In which case toyodiy might give some exploded diagrams on how its configured on that.
  8. Just put them back in as you found them, then search true twin conversion at least then you'll have the option of returning to sequential easily when you find out you don't like TTC
  9. After a bit of research apparently the connectors from a pc cd - soundcard fits nicely into the option port. I have yet to check it but if it works should be a nice cheap way of making option cables
  10. Someone may correct me but afaik the speed delimit on the EMU does not work on supras/aristos. I know for definate it doesn't on the vvti so i would assume that its the same on the non vvti. The fuel cut removal works fine though.
  11. Would be interested to see how it works, i'm assuming that its along the lines of a stihl saw on an adjustable bed with a decent clamping mechanism
  12. I know its ideal to do it with the block but could you not bore some holes of the most common sizes into some steel (or get ring gauges) and use them as a setting piece. Obviously it would rely on the quality of the bore measuring in the first place but if anyone ever needs any cmm checks done near coventry i'll happily carry them out
  13. How longs a few weeks? Depending on the timescale i may well be interested
  14. Depends on which one i think. The auto one i used was dip switches and i have seen a version with a potentiometer on it.
  15. It is but it will be shinier
  16. Define badly? Does it feel like you are at boost cut all the time? Have you reset the ECU to see if that cures the initial problems you have after the FCD removal? Did you use the right FCD for the application? Is it a non vvti or a vvti model. Auto or manual?
  17. Bit of a shot in the dark but i bet there is someone out there who has made their own or repaired an option cable from the emanage ultimate. The question is what connectors (as in name/spec) do the option ports use? I'm going to plug the wideband into the EMU and i need to make/buy the option harness that runs from the wideband to the EMU. Is it possible or should i just buy one?
  18. Is this the one you just got? If it has the wideband cable with it would you split the cable seperate?
  19. What about forming a piece of thin gauge sheet steel and putting it in place with p-clips onto the hose?
  20. What internal diameter hose is it and could you make a steel one with couplers on?
  21. That was what i thought its either one or the other TPS or ISCV
  22. Fluid levels or gearbox speed sensors. Look on toyodiy for the positions. Eliminate those and see where it leads
  23. ~Do you mean the throttle position sensor on the butterfly or am i aiming at the wrong thing? If it is the TPS you mean they are about £88 new and are different between the vvti and non vvti versions. I do have a spare vvti one though
  24. I have a similar problem wioth the aristo the defis show a rise but the stock temp guage stays still. If it is exactly the same as mine its normally under boost that the rise happens. Could it possibly be turbo related/ heatsoak? Either way i know i need a new rad as mine is a bit tired but i will be interested to see if the thermostat is causing issues too
