  1. You can fit it without a wideband as long as whoever is mapping it can put an AFR probe up the exhaust etc. But a wideband would be preferable.
  2. What tooling are you after i personally have never cut CF before but i may be able to scare up some cutters from around rolls if it helps. Give me a list and i'll go harass some of my old colleagues in the machine shop
  3. May nip over to the blade polishing if this kind of thing is in demand. A bit of low profile redistribution may be required
  4. So if anythings possible a set of lexus logos and a V300 could be done as well i bet Have you chamfered the top of the badges as well like the originals or are they flat?
  5. Fortunately Chris is 5 min from where i live atm and i go do the island test every so often as a bottle check
  6. The stuff Heckler is on about is called micromesh and can be v expensive, but it can go upto about 12000 grit. Exactly how much do you need though, a little or alot as i may have some lying around if all you need is a small amount.
  7. What is it water jet? As they are nice sharp corners.
  8. Would you be interested in splitting the AFR cable?
  9. Would have loved to have come and put the risto there and met a few of you guys but i have a pathalogical fear of bouncing it off someone elses motor. I could live with doing it to myself but not to someone else. With the geo being so far out originally i just don't have the confidence in the car yet as its tried to kill me a few times on the A5 let alone a track. With any luck i'll bump into a few at JAE though (not literally )
  10. there is also a company called component force who do lots of EPMD rubber caps and they send free samples
  11. If you shipped them here it would probably take a good long while for you to get them back as the ceramic coating is not an official job See how long it takes them to turn mine round and if they will do any more for me The main reason i commented on the paint was to see if you knew if it would stand up to the metal expansion and contracting without flaking off over time
  12. Don't paint your tubbies just get them blasted and then cleaned out very very well afterwards. The heat generated will discolour it or flake it very quickly without alot of prep and very expensive paint. Shame you live in the states as considering the amount of effort you have put in i would have got them ceramic coated for you at work. If you are going to rebuild the tubbies yourself don't forget to have them balanced properly prior to fitting them. Top job though and nice stage pics all the way through
  13. Depends who is doing the recon and what they mean by hybridisation. Some will consider putting the uk spec hot side wheel in as a hybridisation, personally i don't. If you have them rebuilt stock jspec they will handle upto 1.2bar fine and will spin up at a decent rate, if you have the uk turbine then you can push the pressure up more but the spool will be slower. If you are getting them rebuilt though you may as well get the hybridisation done as long as its a proper upgrade and not a turbine wheel fob off job. Something like a T03-60 compressor with the uk spec turbine and shaft maybe?
  14. For 15-20k i would want more than 500 ponies considering a bpu car can push upto 420 BPU + Nos ? About 1k spend which would make you 14-19k better off
  15. I did indeed mean the vent to atmosphere ones. Think the main thing with a BOV on something thats not putting out a vast amount of volume and pressure is that the impetus that is already spinning the turbo can compress the gasses just enough so that the "stall" on the turbine is negligable. Also obviously the bigger the turbine the greater the effect back pressure will have due to the area of the turbine. Would be interesting to know at what size there is a positive benefit from utilizing a BOV
  16. Should be fairly generic on all EBCs if you look here http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/avc-r/install/diagram.jpg That should give you an idea of the routing
  17. BOV's aren't totally useless there is a possibility it can prevent a build up of pressure on the back of the turbine in high boost applications if the conditions were very cold and the ambient pressure was holding well. Thing is only place i can find where it would possibly be of benefit is agata, siberia BOVs generally are just to let people know you are there
  18. They sound very similar to my wheels, finichi fidanzas. I would see if it is possible to get one directly off the manufacturers it will be cheaper than carnoissieur when i buckled one of mine i got a new one for 150ish including the postage. Part worns are a good enough stop gap if you can find one the right size that hasn't been hanging around for a bazillion years
  19. Get some part worns off ebay to save some money for the time being or look for some new sensible budget tyres. Barums are apparently ok and i had a set of kumho ecsta supras on a lexus that were ok and they did not cost the earth. Problem is 19" wheels cut down tyre choice and make things alot more expensive, i am still out as to whether getting 19s on the car was a good thing or a bad thing.
  20. The emanage blue uses one less connector than the ultimate so there is another plug/lead to use when you put the EMU in. I don't know if there is a plug and play option that goes with the blue but for the EMU the T-17 PnP harness is for the vvti and the T-15 harness is for the non vvti engine. I got my harness supplied by RHDJapan and i think it worked out at roughly £60ish. The other option is to inline splice etc the universal harness from the EMU to a fields harness but TBH the combined cost of the fields and the universal harness is slightly more than a PnP harness, that is if you can find one
  21. I still think once you go past stock levels of power etc on the car these become redundant as it will change the harmonics of the vibration (change the torque curve induce different vibs at different times), and the rubber in the pulley will be tuned to a certain harmonic. I did email toyota abut it but i think i got the wrong department as the answer was pretty much "huh?" Obviously they will still work at some point but probably not in the right area.
  22. Does the facelift use the COP or wasted spark system? If it uses the same coil packs as the vvti aristo i have a coilpack going atm
  23. If all you need is a replacement without the coding then don't go to the dealer, any mr minit, shoe repairer etc with a tibbe/laser key cutter will be able to cut them and for about a 5th of the dealer price
  24. If the keys are the same as lexus/aristo keys i have a couple of flip keys left and i can cut them. However that won't help unless you have a spare already.
