hi ya what is the best oil and grade i should be using in the supra my local partco say it should be 0-30 or 10-40 how true is this im desperate to get some before everywhere close

hi guys had some probs with the supra finally got her running ok went on rollers everything fine and working as it should be. then last night my wastgate noise changed completely sounded like it was dumping all her boost when i accelerated the boost did not stay as i have set it on the blitz boost controller. it then hit fuel cut i believe it was fuel cut anyway. then i turned car off shortly after car was fine after a little while it done it again,today i checked all pipes everything seemed fine,i read somewhere on here that you can reset the boost controller i did this and seems fine again but i know get a negative reading of 49-50 when on idle is this normal as i was only getting 18-19 before

mine is booked in at engine advantages on thursday bit worried about this now engine advantages has a very good reputation down here dont understand how it can be that far out

first of all check to see if there is any gas in the system you can do this by simply pushing one of the valves on the system i believe there is one at the front of the car just as you open the bonnet. if there is gas in the system simply turn your aircon on follow all your pipes and squirt them with fairy washing up liquid and water mixed,then just look for air bubbles also check your condensor as they are well exposed on the supra's

best bet would be to try another boost gauge. you can borrow mine for a quick test mate if you want. either come to me or next time im in ips you can try it then

i have a greddy boost guage and mine sits just over 0 about 0.5 when engine isnt running then goes into minus figures when started. best of luck mate

ive had nothing but bloody hassel with this seal ive had three new ones fitted and today ive noticed it is leaking again im getting fed up with taking it back to the garage and i thinl he is also getting fed up with seeing it. im only running 0.7-0.8 boost,occasionally 1.1 boost so nothing rediculous any help will be appreciated

i had mine rolling roaded at tdi not so long ago she reached 300bhp and 277ft torque that was with number five piston down running 0.7-0.8 boost also the speed limiter was on so couldnt run her over 5000rpm. im sure you should be running more power

what mods has she got mate is that figure at the rear wheels or at the fly?

my missfire turned out to be faulty coil packs ive know sourced some through cj putting her on the rollers next week to check fueling and make sure everythings doing what it should be id like to give a big thanks to absxxx for lending me his coil packs to see if it was the problem also a big thanks to ian c and all you guys for your help it was a big help
