i took the car to tdi the other week wasnt impressed with them at all.they told me my missfire was a injector fault when its was a piston.i couldnt tell how they were checking to see if there was enough fuel they wasn't plugged into my lambda sensor and they didnt have a prong up my exhaust any ideas how they could of been checking for this

hi guys my car is away at the moment having a new engine.any suggestions on where to go to have her checked for fueling and that my map is ok etc etc.ive got a hks fcon v ecu,full decat,hks drager exhaust,and uprated fuel pump.i can travel if need be im just having trouble finding people that know what there doing cheers

not supra but have 18" alloys for sale they fit vauxhall rover vw etc

sorry new in the supra world is this an uprated bottom end or standard is it a complete bottom end

hi guys mine has turned out to be a piston melt down on number five.so need new engine the car is at g b h motorsport they have been great.the problem i have is that he can get hold of an engine with aparantly 40k on it how true this is i dont know. im just worried that im going to pay all this money and the same happen down the line.the new engine will be supplied with turbos too but they want my engine turbos etc for exchange.how long would you say the turbos have left in them if they are original.

sorry didnt explain very well it is a j spec im after,i ment uk dealers that supply j spec engines.any idea of cost ruffly

just had another idea is there anywhere you know of that does reconditioned heads or uprated stage 1 or 2 etc.on an exchange basis i think it will be more but better in the long run

hi there does anybody know what is involved in taking the head off of a twin turbo?have a little bit of knowledge on engines but if too hard would rather have someone that knows what there doing any info would be greatly appreciated

the plugs havnt even done 100 miles yet i put ngk bcpr7es in plus it was a mac tools compresion tester might be worth ago though do you know of any good garages that you can reccomend

its not overheating its not burning oil loosing water etc and only misses on idle although it did begin to miss or hold back on high boost set at 1.1-1.2 its fine on 0.7-0.8

hi there had a missfire all week trying to find what the problem was but no luck until today when i did a compression check.i found that all cylinders were running around 170 apart from one which was only a hundred.is this most likely to be a valve burnt out?do the supras suffer with cracked heads or piston failure,rings etc etc. also who do you reccomend to carry this work out would like someone who knows what there doing to take a look.

i dont think they reset the ecu they pulled the plug on its own out of the ecu and told me to turn ignition on and off twice whilst brake and accelerator were on the floor think this was to sort over drive light though.where are the efi fuse 1 and 2 and is it just a case of pulling them out and putting them back it had a new o2 sensor 11th of jan should be fine shouldnt it

this might sound stupid dont really know how to explain it.if i let my foot come off the brake very slowly just enough to let the car move slowly but still slightly braking you can feel the engine running lumpy as such.tdi seem to think it could be a dirty injector.obviously theres not that much pressure on the injectors when idleing but when coming up through the rev range there might be enough sorry about the crap info lol its also an auto
