hi guys a friend of mine is looking for a mr2 to run around in preferably a non turbo. does any body know of some good dealers or maybe some one that is selling one? any help would be greatly appreciated

i was always a vauxhall man before my supra i found that vauxhalls were a very reliable cars. the c20xe and c20let lumps were great engines i had a astra mk3 turbo before the supra completly different car but still great fun and very under estimated, as for the vx220 turbo they are very fast bottom end i believe they run a 4 sec 0-60. but would never trade the supra after owning one:p

whats involved in fitting these turbos to a j spec? do i need bigger injectors etc etc:p

so they are allright if the fuel only has to be adjusted slightly. its just that i want to go single over the winter planning to run 650cc injectors and t61 budget single kit from vortex wondering if is is worth running the safc2 or save more money and go for the emanage ultimate its just moneys tight at the mo want to do it as cheap as possible but properly if that makes sense thanks

as above not to clued up on the supra yet im hoping to going single over the winter i see that alot of people use this but havnt got a clue what it does

i was exactly the same as you my friend i was adament i wanted a manual but they seem very hard to find so i test drove an auto im glad i did now i think they are great the box works very very well dont be put off what people say test drive a few never but the first one you see theres always better best of luck mate they are great cars

stay well clear mate i travelled for 3 hours was there five minuites that single turbo one has been there for about four months if not longer i have seen this car and she is very battered body kits hanging off cracked etc etc your much better buying a car off of here you pay a little more but you get an honest car most of the time hope this helps

it does hurt but cant wait for single seems to be alot cheaper to do single now adays vortex kits seem to get alot of on here havn't heard anyone moaning. the budget kit can be supplied fitted new injectors and emanage also mapped for around the 4000 mark. this is a large sum of money but from the feedback ive had seems well worth it push the boat out you know you want to

hi guys after my latest disaster (blown turbos) ive decided to put the supra into storage over the winter and try and save enough to go single. know is there anything i should do whilst the car is off the road so far ive left handbrake off disconnected battery made sure antifreeze is ok is there anything else i should do?

id definatly do a compression test i had exactly the same problem it turned out to be number five piston was down hopfully not the prob with yours but better to be safe than sorry

i have uprated fuel pump but not injectors will they need upgrading to handle the uk turbos? -
can any one tell me the difference between uk spec turbos and j spec? are they bigger? are they stronger? can they just be swopped like for like or is there anything i would have to change?

i also found that the contis last a long time,but tend to crack and perish also tend to loose grip they seem to go very hard if you know what i mean

this might be a very stupid question but when blades are missing off of a turbo charger are they unusable or will they just not be very good there is a blade broken on the shaft nearest to the exhaust manifold.
