  1. Difficult to say once you put active in the equation... but yes, Branners is our founder!
  2. Switch on your A/C (yes, despite the cold weather) and turn the temp to about 25 degrees C so you don't freeze your bits off. That will demist all interior glass very quickly.
  3. The aircon should be condensing the moisture in the cabin, but I'm unsure whether this depends on recirculating or not. If there's sudden misting despite it being on all the time, my first action take it to an aircon fixer-upper.
  4. I do seem to remember Jurgen offering an RB26-powered supra some time ago. It's a long shot but perhaps he has pictures of it in his archives. Not the detailed stuff you need, but Smokey Navata's Gold '0-300' Top Secret Supra had an RB26 in it here:
  5. Happy barf day Lui - see you next week?

    ps3 tv

Or replace the HD yourself, damn easy! They're just 3.5 inch laptop hard drives in there...
  7. Looks great M, as others have already said, it's a great choice of colour to give a new lease of life to what's becoming a very old car by today's standards. That Pantera belongs to a someone I know. Happy to see it's in the bodyshop, as it did need a good tidy up B
  8. I was just returning to the car from the Bankside health club at around 1pm. Don't know if you saw my car parked on the other side of the street. B
  9. Neither positions need drilling - below each headlight should be a large bolt (visible in the picture above) where you can secure the ballast cage before slipping it in. When I fitted mine to the crossbar, I used cable ties to position them first, followed by very heavy duty ties once the units were slipped in. I know cable ties seem a shortcut way to do things but I'm a perfectionist and they are solid as a rock in there. Plus, I had the luxury of being able to move them elsewhere quite easily.
  10. Nope, you can see/access it with the headlights off. It's just behind the stock bumper's polystyrene bits. Conveniently, it also has holes through which you can secure the ballasts. Fiddly yes, but also good place to secure the relay wiring too.
  11. I've put mine on the crossbar just behind the front bumper.

  13. It cost me about 6 or 7 tanks of fuel as far as I can remember, that's a round trip from London. Of course these days that's about 75 squid each time. I agree. I wish you could have seen it through the tunnels between Aosta and the Petit St Bernard - flames spitting either side on the overrun... ...and to watch the Italians grip their steering wheels in fear as we came through was priceless! Excellent, the Street Safari Do be careful though mate. I know the 740 has large overhangs front and rear - some of the corners are completely blind and very narrow. We did come past a bike crash on one of those roads and it was a terrible reminder that too much bravery doesn't do anyone any good. Poor fella was being strapped into a spine brace. Try not to get too caught up in the moment and make sure you're thinking straight. As ol' Clarkson once said: "There's no reset button like you get on playstation - you just go through the pearly gates... on fire!" This is what we did on Sunday
  14. Cheers guys. I'm perpetually paranoid too, so RAC cover to Europe at £38 pour moi! Better safe than carless... Anyone can do it, but the only thing that can go invariably wrong is... the weather. We thought we were in for a rubbish trip as we trundled through some torrential rain on the way to Reims. Woke up the next day and it was gone! If you do want to do it, or happen to be passing through the region, give me a shout and I can give you some nice TomTom itineraries
  15. Well, that's the thing. It's hard enough getting everyone to take time off (work and other halves) just to go and drive - but realistically, this trip has cost each person something to the region of £1,500 to do - and that was just four days...
  16. Here's one of the R8 through a 10-20mm lens, looking like it's going to snort your arm off.
  17. Merci monsieur! I was toying with the idea of changing the wheels but having driven it in stock form around the twisties, I think I'm quite happy to stick with it the way it looks... Merci X2! I was quite apprehensive as to how it would handle in the mountains - and it's an auto too. The car has taught me some new tricks There are just too many shots to put up - around 400 shots in total I think! Here's another action shot from the other car:
  18. Both are stunning in their own right - the Cobra, as expected is a Dax Tojiero, not an original. But, it's a 5.7l and very well put together. Sheer torque carried him up the hills - mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear up the very steep and slow hairpins The R8 had just 600 miles on the clock - he just picked it up from Stutgart before meeting us in Geneva for the rest of the trip. The whole thing is just a magnificent piece of engineering.
  19. Just thought I'd share a few pics of my weekend out in the French, Swiss and Italian Alps with some friends. Driving the Supra will never be the same again. I've never really had the chance to explore its handling potential, and truthfully, it was put through its paces and didn't break a sweat. I've fallen in love with the car all over again, and feel as though I've come away a better driver. We started off on Friday and got back last night - so suffice to say, the poor thing is still covered in various forms of winged creature from the motorway stints. We did the Grand Saint Bernard pass, the Petit Saint Bernard (which incidentally, is infinitely better than the former), spending the whole of Sunday crossing peaks and valleys till the late evening. In hindsight, we should have taken an extra day - but there's something in the nonchalance of embarking on an epic trip and being back in the office a couple of days later! Thoroughly recommend it guys. If anyone needs any tips on routes and where to stay etc, feel free to give me a shout.
  20. Sorry to see you go Ellis. You've put so much into that car and it's going just when it's perfect.

  22. You need to check for fault codes Bob.
  23. Looks like a good build yet again J. That would be Linda's supra - same guys that she sorted a club discount for last year.
  24. Good to see you guys down there last night. Sorry I didn't meet you Erol, was far too busy running around touching base with everyone! This isn't just about supercars, as you will have noticed. We get a good range of people all there for the same reason, whether it's a Lupo or a Lambo. It's definitely not elitist - we had some chavvy gatecrashers but hey, they were happy to be friendly and well-behaved.
  25. Good stuff Lui, I'll try to tear myself away from 'work' for a proper catch up this time. A friendly note to all though, it's not really a free-for-all - you may be asked to make space for the official group by the Ace marshals as usual.
