  1. Hadn't heard of this one! Sounds pretty good. Ex biker myself, so this could be a good way to get back on two wheels. How many real circuits are there, do they have the Isle of Man or the 'Ring.
  2. I've been humming and harr-ing about this for ages. So tempted to go, but it is damned expensive. Even if i go for just one, day it's gonna cost me the same as new brake pads all round and a set of goodridge for the front at least. I love my music and the outdoor festival vibe, and will be missing the yearly gathering of my friends from all over the uk. But i've been to loads of these, but have not yet got my supra on the road
  3. Ha ha, ok.......i'm possibly getting some wheels from a member who's near Preston. I'm in Norwich so should deffinitely be enough distance to run your car in. Let me know what you think.
  4. As Mr Burns would say......."Eeeeeeexcellent" I'll have a look at parcels2go tomorrow. To tired now, spent all day at Santa Pod getting rained on and not watching any racing because of the rain
  5. Has any body sent wheels recently, and can remenber what they weigh. That is 16" j-specs i'm talking about. I'm going to look online and see if i can get a quote to have a set collected and delivered, and obviously i'll need the weight. Hopefully someone can help me out
  6. It's only an average of 9 posts per day. Not so bad when you look at it like that CJ. Well done.
  7. Moto gp goes to 800cc limit next season, and i think Rossi wants to leave the series with the legacy of a well developed bike. And lets face it, after the way he turned the current Yamaha around, there's no doubt about his development skills. Current problem excluded obviously, but even that looks sorted now after last sundays performance. If you read any interviews from his crew chief Jeramy Burgess, he tells how Vale can do a single lap and come into the garage and diagnose multiple issues with the bike and explain them in great detail. This is quite unheard of apparantly, any other rider can only solve one set up issue at a time. Rossi is young, and maybe he will go to F1 when he feels his work is done on bikes.
  8. Congratulations mate, and well done to mum.

    crash damage.

Guess which head light got cleaned before i gave them to the body shop.... Think i did this with just T-cut.
  10. You got to love Jezza though. Most think he's a complete Knuckle Shuffler, but i love the way he speaks his mind, a real straight shooter. There's some funny stuff on here.... http://cars.msn.co.uk/carnews/ttclarksondec05/
  11. Suprised these haven't gone. I was tempted, but can't afford £400+ for tyres aswell.

    crash damage.

More progress..................................it's straight! I've been and taken some more pics of it today, sitting outside the bodyshop. I'm so pleased to finally see it in one piece. There are a few bits still to go on (wheel arch liners, engine undertray) but it's pretty much all there at last. Hopefully it won't need too much for the MOT. Once it's roadworthy I'll be so tempted to blast it around unpainted in two colours. Still haven't quite decided what I'm doing regarding the paint. Tempted to balst some matt black over it so it's all one colour! I'm dead pleased with the bodyshop, they have done a good job with no real fuss. I'd recommend them - they're in Norwich (Mods, let me know if I can give them a plug on here?)

    Japshow@Pod???

I'm going. Not in the supra unfortunately, but definitely going. Heading off from norwich on sunday morning, so if there's a convoy maybe i'll tag along.
  14. Is it this sunday? I went to the GT battle there last year and it was good apart from the crap weather. I've promised my lad that i'll take him to 'The Main Event' at pod this weekend though. Can't do 'em all i suppose.
  15. Nice one michael. I've just found cw pads on Miami GT site £159 against standard replacements for £52. Think i'll probably stick with these then for the time being. I'm not exactly going to be exploring the cars limits when i first get it on the road.
  16. Cool. Anyone know what these cost?
  17. As my car has been standing for a year or more i want to freshen up the brakes before it goes back on the road. I'm thinking fluid, pads discs and goodridge lines. I can't afford to upgrade to uk stuff at the moment so new j- spec parts will do. I've been looking at some of the differant pads on offer from some of the traders sites on here and am wondering, is it best to stick to oem pads or not? I might do a track day at some point but for now i just want to get on the road. From previous experience with bikes, oem was best.

    19" BK alloy wheels

Dude, you need to find out what the offset is, as well as how wide they are and the tyre size. The offset will be stamped into the wheel somewhere. And obviously if the stud pattern is correct.
  19. Have you not heard their recent 'See you on the other side' album? Not as complete as Issues, but a couple of cracking tacks none the less. Here's what's played the most on my i-pod... Any of the (Hed)pe albums, great musicians producing some awesome riffage, great beats/basslines= very lively. (rap/metal) Any Deftones album, but 'White Pony' is favourite. Again great song structures, excelent melodies with kick in the nuts low slung guitar as well. Any 'Perfect Circle' album. A must for any 'Tool' fan. Very theraputic and soothing. Machine Head - Supercharger. These guys just get better with age. Addictive sing along choruses, great for driving to. Fear Factory - Archetype. Brutal and aggressive, i love this band. Devin Townsand - Terria. This dude is widely regarded as one of the best song writers of his genre, and rightly so. He did vocals for Steve Vai and has other projects such as Strapping young Lad. Sheer quality musicianship. Best of all, my old band did a couple of supports for him while he was touring the UK:d
