I got the 'my garage' to appear at the bottom of my sig, but when i clicked it it went to a page not found! Did i miss something.

Ok, nice one. So if i do go after these i need to make sure that i get 2x 9" then. Seems that most advertised just say 225's all round.

Just been looking at j-spec 16" wheels on ebay as a cheap option to get an m.o.t on my car. Some are advertised wearing 225 and 255 tyres, and others just have 225's all round. Did the jap-spec cars have wider rear rims like the UKs and have wider rubber as standard?

You must be kicking your self Darryl, i did a similar thing about 10 years ago. Was going to buy a 69 Camaro that needed paint for 1.5k, but bought a GSX-R instead. There's some nice cars on that link though. Yeah, I know you're looking at a fair bit of cash these days...I'm curious to know what you'd pay for, say, an early 70s cuda, a dodge challenger, or a first or second geration camaro. These are the kind of cars I fell in love with as a kid.

Does anybody know of any websites for companies or garages that specialise in selling old american muscle cars, Cameros and Chargers and the like. Tried searching on google but no real luck. I'm interested to see what some of these cars go for. Maybe some of you have had old yanks in the past and know of some one that sells them.

I'm due an upgrade and had my eye on the nokia 8800, but sounds like the battery life is an issue from whats been said. I'm steering clear of Samsungs as the buttons stopped working on myD500. Quite fancy the look of the SLVR motorola, but dont know much about it. Thorin, my missis has the V3 razer and likes it a lot. No problems so far:D

When i worked for a custom painters doing bikes, we had a plastic welding kit for repairing dmaged fairings which are the same material i think! Basically a kind of blowtorch and plastic rods. If you could find somewhere that has one, they probably wouldnt want much to do it. But i would say some of the other options mentioned would do the job

Cool. Can anyone confirm whether the video works. It plays on my pc, but i don't know if the sound works as there's something up with my sound card.

It's the pcd you really need to know (pitch circle diameter). This is the shape of the stud holes. Some people may put up with the wrong offset as long as there is no clearance issues, but they've got to fit over the studs. If you take any notice of wheels on e-bay, all wheels are universal given the list of cars after the description!!!

Thats great mate. I can't really buy anything just now as i've just got home from trailering the car to a bodyshop for some jig work, so thats going to clean me out for a while. I can pm you and see if you still have them later though

I thought someone had put 17" rims on this car because they had upgraded to uk brakes. But i know the callipers at least are japs. Haven't measured the discs yet, but there don't seem much clearance to the inside of the wheel. Can you run j-callipers on uk discs?

Shizer....500 up eh? Well i'll keep me eyes peeled for whats going around at the moment and see what i want to spend. Spose i'd always get my money back on the 17's for resale.

Yeah could do, 16's go pretty cheap. I just need to get legal rubber on it for the time being really. Spose i'd be looking at £300+ for uk 17's, or £100+ for j-16's.

I know what you mean about finding the time to work on your car:( . Looks like its coming together though. Are you painting it in your garage, or have you got access to a paint shop? And what are those side skirts?

How rude, thats my best favourite paint job i had done. Full story is here... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=39116 But basicaly its had a custom colour respray at some point (blue) and the bumper is off a silver car.

Yeah does look a little wierd eh? Looks pretty pikey having different wheels i suppose, like you just went down the scrappy and found something that fits. Spose i'll be after a whole set of 17's then.

Ha ha, fair enough. Yeah idealy i'd buy a set of Racing Harts, but for now i just want to get it on the road with the correct size tyres on it. And if somone can supply me a couple of uk 17's rears quite cheep, then i'm sorted.
