  1. If the wing and the bumper are damaged, have you checked underneath the bumper to see if the support is damaged? These are quite flimsy and if distorted it will be hard to get things lined up properly.
  2. So who is it that normally pays to have model reports done on all the cars that can be brought into this country? If, say five people wanted to import post 98 supras, could they not chip in???
  3. The wheels on my supra are from a dodge and although i quite like the look of them, the the rears are only wearing 245s. I'm just wondering what it would look like with a set of UK 17's on the back and keep the dodge ones on the front. Could any of you photoshoppers stick this uk17 on the back of my car to give me an idea:d

    Name that BOV

Any body know what make of BOV this is? It was on the car when i got it. It's quite noisy, and makes that staggered "ch..ch..ch" noise when you back of from low revs, then the usual "psshh" from higher revs.
  9. Why that then jurgen (pardon my ignorance)

    crash damage.

Right, it's been nearly a year since i bought this project and a lot has happened. Been out of work, wife's had baby etc. But i have steadily amassed a pile of parts big enough to fix this up. Now that i have everything, i'm sending it off to an accident repair centre nearby to have the new slam panel welded in and the wings fitted up. After that i'm bringing her home again to get ready for paint, and will possibly get it road legal so i can check everything is ok. Still not sure weather i'll paint it myself or not, i'll see what quotes i get once it's built up. So far i've spent around £600 on parts, but there's still a few little things i'll need. I've also got a few things that aren't relevant to the crash repair like standard air box and door seals. I've also got the rear bumper and a pair of doors that came with a deal for the bonnet and two front wings. I've just placed the wing and bumper on to give me a little glimse of how it should look. I'm getting all excited now, put there's still a bit of work to do obviously. Today i'm going to sort out transport to the repair centre.

    Pics

Is that an active spoiler on the front of the black one,? Looks nice and low.
  13. Just remember that aerosol paints contain a lot of thinners which can be very aggressive:twak: to some plastics.
  14. I bought a Calcium battery from Halfords today (HCB005) and it was £69. The standard one was £50 i think. I don't know if the prices vary from store to store or what! Got me some new terminal clamps while i was there too.
  15. Holy cow, batman. Think i would rather hit that cow than some of those trees he was hurtling past
  16. Love the way he just carries on. Unlucky for the cow though.
  17. How much does this service cost?
  18. Don't be shy, show us some pics:eyebrows:

    Ipod question

Yeah, 30g in black Rocks. Only got 1000 odd songs on mine. Thats about 80 cds and a few downloads. Only had it 2 months and already can't find anything i want to listen to!!! Need more tunes:rolleyes:
  20. Japanese Banzai did a feature on a supra in canada a while ago, i think the guy said that they were pretty rare and expensive over there. Canadas a pretty spectacular place to be moving to though, lots to see out there. Is it a work thing?
  21. In that case, logic says it's something that is being adjusted into the correct position and then coming loose into the wrong position. This must be traceable by a specialist.
  22. When the alignment is done, i would assume the car is lifted on a ramp and the suspension is alowed to "hang". Maybe after 20 miles on the road everything settles back into (the wrong) place. edit: When you say "the alignment is done" what do you mean?, Are they just adjusting the track rod ends, if so then this will only mask the real problem.
  23. Mate, has it only been doing this since you had the crash damage sorted? Maybe something has been overlooked! Seems funny that none of the places you've taken it to can find the real fault.
  24. My friend was making his way down to sussex today on the M23, at a dizzy 95mph in his trusty Berlingo when a shiny new Impreza cruised past at about a ton. After briefly admiring the car, he was not too pleased to see a flashing blue light and big red STOP sign light up in the back window. A brief "chat" followed where the kind officer explained that on starting his shift, his colleague had forgotten to calibrate their speed equipment therefore no action would be taken. He also added that if it had of been, he would be looking at a nice little ban, meaning loss of job etc. After counting his blessings he has vowed not to break the speed limit again ever!!! Anyway, look out for silver imprezas if you use the m23 and are in a hurry;)
