    Motorbikes

Are you sure? New ones are 120bhp and 160 kg. This is nearly the same kind of figures as the last 750 i had ('96 GsxR), and you certainly didn't need to try too hard to go quick on that. Good luck with the test mate. Have you considered a non race rep as your first bike for a while? When i got knocked off my gixxer once, i was given a Hornet 600 as a courtesy bike while the insurance was sorted. I was a bit dissapointed when i saw what they'd given me, but i have to say i really enjoyed it. It was all the fun, but at a much slower pace.
  2. First thing i'd check is to see if the cable has become disconected from the release lever. Stick your head in the footwell and have alook
  3. Ok then, i'll take it. (i can allways sell it on again if i don't need it) I have to pop out now, i'll pm ya when i get back in hour or so
  4. Think i need the bumper seal! I bought a load of parts from mrT to refit my bumper, but not sure i got this bit. Would you hold it for me untill i check later? (if you still have it)
  5. Hi Adam. I remember seeing you on skyline owners forum when i was looking to get one a couple of years ago. Nice list of cars you have/had there.

    Wisdom teeth

I had a wisdom tooth removed recently. All i remember about it is a brief but very pleasent feeling as the anesthetic kicked in, and 3 days of agony after. Worth it though
  9. Nearly there now mate You gonna take it to a rwyb at Pod when it's done? I'll meet you there if you do. I'll have to take you on in my Audi though as the soops not done
  10. Rob, if you don't shift the boot board and scoop, i'll have them later on. I need them but it's not a priority at the moment. Shelling out on paint job related things at the mo
  11. I'm in the same boat here. I bought a replacement hatch door with no glass, so need to get the glass removed from the old hatch and put into the new one. Cheers Nic, for the info on the seal I've also removed the seal around the screen as i'm painting my car. Don't spose you have any info on this, maybe i can just order them from ya
  12. Good work mate. I'm glad somebody had a productive day.

    Indicator wires

Cheers. I'll have another look tomorrow, but there was nothing there that was obviously for the indicators. Although saying that, the way things have gone for me today they could have been sticking out of the engine bay like power cables with neon flashing banners on them saying "indicator wires are here" and i probably would have missed them.

    Indicator wires

I'm having trouble locating the wires that go to the indicators. My car was crashed, and the bumper was ripped off taking the indicators with it. Now i've had the car repaired and am building it back up, i can'f find any wires that look like they should go to the indicators. Is anybody familiar with where they emerge from the wireing harness? Looking at the indicators them selves i can see that the wires should be Green/Black and White/Black. I've looked around where the Headlight plugs are, and under the arches etc but no joy If i can't find them, would it be ok to run some wires from the side repeaters? Maybe this should be in tech, but i'm sure a kind mod will move it if it should
  15. Is your dad "Project Leader" or something? It's not very cool having your Dad design your car for you.
  16. I wouldn't put any solvents onto plastic. I recon something that removes paint is not going to be very friendly to you plastic lenses (white spirit). WD40 is very good at removing sticky residue left from labels and stickers, tree sap, tar etc. Needs a bit of elbow grease mind. T-cut if fine to use also. I can vouch for that

    Teaser Pics...

Real nice. I like the skirts too, what are they?
  19. Thr ring is a public road, unless hired out privately. I would guess the car would have to be road legal on public days. But i'm guessing
  20. You could. You can wet flat the paint down to the original gel coat, or whatever you call it. I've done it on carbon bike panels. Laborious but bossible. Jazz, if that was mine id mask a thin line around the cut outs and paint the rest silver. A bit similar to these Ducati seat units i used to paint, see here... http://www.casoli.co.uk/136/ducati-polished-full-exhaust-sytem.html That way, you get the best of both. Subtlety rules.
  21. Ha ha, can't imagine there'll be any takers. Lets face it, the conditions are far from ideal, and to say i'm "winging" it it a bit of an understatement. Which is fine if it's your own car Every thing is a compromise, right down to the "El Cheapo" spray gun i'm using. But it's not what you've got, it's how you apply it. I've painted most things in my time from lorry trailers to show winning custom Harleys. All things considered, i'm happy so far
