  1. Ha ha....NOT Seriously, i've seen crapper paint jobs on cars that have been done at some Body Shops
  2. The white spots on the 4th picture aren't in the paint, they must be on the camera lense
  3. Well, i managed to get the shell top coated today Had a few problems to deal with along the way, but i don't like things to get the better of me Pics are a bit crap again, i was going to wheel it out and get some better ones but it started to rain. So, i spent the rest of the afternoon putting my lights that i've refurbed black back together again. I've still got the doors and bumpers etc to top coat, but i'm back to work tomorrow so it'll have to wait untill the weekend now .
  4. No idea mate, but they look fantastic
  5. mmmmmmmmmmm......Brake Porn.
  6. That's the same as what i had last. You wont go wrong with one of those. Lifts the front off the throttle in 1st, 160 top end, great handling
  7. Winter's allways the best time to get bikes. £1600?, must be quite an old one for that. Still 120 odd bhp to play with none the less There's some cheap ex track bikes floating around if you're not so fussed how it looks.

Therefore you will be spending all of it. And a worthy cause too

    Wheels

Suppose it depends on what you could get them for. Yeah they are damaged, but if you could get them cheap enough to factor in a refurb, you'd end up with a brand new set of wheels. I don't like the chrome look personaly, i'd get the lip repolished and have the centres black. I like the actual wheel style I'd also check with someone about the offset and width etc.
  10. Nice one Darryl. Is it all bolt on stuff left to do, or is there more bits to fabricate?
  11. Jesus, i bet the crusher would uproot and run a mile if it saw that thing coming for it.
  12. What an idiot. He must think everyone is as thick as him.
  13. Is there a drivers side quarter glass going from this car mate?

    No more J Tuner

I've got a sub, but haven't heard anything
  15. Got the car out today so i could prime the bumpers etc. Couldn't get the doors ready as the windows are down and i can't get to the door handle nuts, so i'll have to wait till the car is unmasked so i can plug them back in Lack of forward planning. I'm going to flat the car in the morning and get some colour on it
  16. It was a real chore. The quality of the paint that was used to respray the car before was realy bad, and it was about an inch thick. I tried orbital sanding it but the heat turned it to chewing gum. In the end i had to use a hot air gun and scraper. Only on the roof and quarters though, all the other panels are of another car that just need wet flatting. No probs. Although the heaters aren't quite as manly as they looked in the catalogue, they seem to be doing ok. I went in there early this morning having left them on all night and it was quite warm.
  17. Cheers. Yeah they're a pain, i got the first one out ok but rushed the second one as it was getting dark. Keep us posted though Cars not insured at the mo. It's off the road undergoing cosmetic surgery.
  18. Need one of these asap please. Painting my car this week and would like it watertight I broke this one getting it out in a rush, so if somebody is breaking a car and has one, please let me know.
  19. Well, a bit of progress at last . I got the missis mobile again last week having put the headgasket on her Punto. Shame the water pump was cracked as well . I've taken a couple of days off work this week to try and get this done, and made a start yesterday. Despite multiple problems (overloaded extension leads catching fire etc) i managed to get the car in primer. I've got to say, the Pro-Deluxe Super Booth 2000 worked ok. Crap in the paint is absolutely minimal, only the lack of extraction is an issue. Here's a couple of pics, sorry they're rubbish, but i was in a rush to get out and see the new James Bond flic
  20. Mine isn't going to be ON the road until winter . Don't see why it should be a problem. Wait until you've been through winter with nothing but a 120bhp Gsx-R 750 as your only means of transport. Then you'll know the meaning of throttle control on ice and snow. Plus you'll be warm and dry, bonus
  21. I'm trying to get the door handles of the doors this morning so i can prep them for paint. There's a 10mm nut at the front of them that i've taken out but it's really difficult to see what's holding it on a the back of the mechanism. I don't want to start leavering things around too much because i don't want to damage anything! If somebody that has removed these before could offer any advice it would be a great help
  22. The jap plate surrounds come off real easy. I think it shares a fixing point with the number plate light !!! Look at the pic, this is how they are on the car so you can see where the screws will be. When i took these off there was double sided tape also but i don't know if this is standard as my bumper had been painted at some point (probably is though). Your paint may be a bit manky underneath but nothing that t-cut shouldn't take care of
