Really ?! I only pay £300 on my mk2 leon with you guys.

Took my supra elsewhere though as I got a way better quote.

It's hard to comment on individual cases without seeing the customer file.

By the sounds of it, we will keep on insuring the daily car as you're a club member and had a modified car insured with us. If you take one elsewhere, we wont tell you take the other as well.

Cheers,

Alex

not a great insurer at all, had my 600bhp supra with all mods declared insured through you's, now I have a 1 series diesel up for renewal and yous give me a sky high price for it and say you cant match other quotes, also the customer service was absolute s**t. wont be using yous again.

Pretty sure that's now what ive just got on the phone? also I was told yous couldn't insure that car as its not a modified car but yous can insure it for £800?

I have a "guarantee" you will give me the lowest renewal (you's didn't) and that you would match the cheapest quote? (you's haven't) false advertising that looks to me

Spent about 20 minutes on hold today trying to get through to someone for an address change, have emailed for attention of Alex so hopefully he gets back to me!

I was about 10-12 mins to let them know I was taking the car on DB15.

Seems to take much longer to get through if your an existing customer.

Just did my insurance with Sky today.

I used to be with Sky years ago and wanted to go back due to the support they offer the club.

I dealt with Luke who I met personally at JAE many years ago. He was very professional and more to the point very knowledgeable of the supra and of modified cars. I am comfortable that I not only have the best policy for my needs but that I have the best price.

Thanks Luke.

Hi JK90,

Apologies that you're having problems.

In your post you say that you had a Supra with us, not have. Is this correct?

If so, this is a situation that I explained in the previous page; our rates or geared for imports/performance/modified cars. We will usually only look to quote for standard UK cars if there's good reason - the client has a modified car with us already, a quote for a family member etc.

By the sounds of your post, we don't currently insure your Supra and nor do we currently insure your 1 Series? That is probably why our rate is quite high.

If we don't currently insure you, please bear in mind that the picture you linked to is for renewals (exisiting customers)

Hope this provides some clarity.

Cheers,

Alex

Based on all the forums i have been a part of (focusrsoc) (focusstoc) (mlr) sky seems very competitive for anyone aged 25+ but anyone under they really struggle to be competitive! If you bear that in mind your be happier with them than a mainstream company!

Coming from a guy who will be going to a mainstream one i know  haha

I feel the opposite... I called up and they seemed very uninterested in being competitive as I turn 25. As a result of this... I'M OOT. Goodbye Sky - been good knowing you.

I remember turning 25 and getting excited about my insurance premium dropping loads, it didn't, it doesn't, that was folklore from back in the day

I agree... a load of rubbish. My renewal quote came in about £10 less than the previous year. I managed get a new policy for £50 less in the end. Not that impressive.

Have to say my daily driver price has plumited since turning 25 last year, nearly half the price. However with sky it was a good few hundred more expensive than the company im with now. Aprently due to them being specialist and not being able to compete with regular cars.

However Sky did me a pretty good deal on the supra this year again, not as good as I was expecting but considering I upped the value by £2k and added more mods to my list I was happy with the £450 price tag.

So sky have lost some of my business, (there loss) but tbh they have always been great when adding more modifications mid term and for me that is a big bonus.
