Thank you, I’ll take a look now.

Do you have a link for that? That’s a very tempting deal.

Finally got another Supra....and it’s DJG!

Congrats, like I said this is a lovely replacement. Try to enjoy this one though rather than spending heavily on upgrades and having it sat around for extended periods of time -

Very nice, does this mean you’ll be selling the AE86? -
It’s also a facelift model, 2011. The car however boosted fine and drove very well. Everything functioned too. It just had a yellow light come on for restricted performance and then would go away.

Thanks for the reply H. In all fairness the car does have full dealer history...

Evening all, My boss at work was after a new car for work and we came across a nice Jaguar XF on autotrader which was a bargain price and when we viewed the car it was as described albeit the tyres are worn heavily, and an engine light for restricted performance came on at one point. However given the price we considered the fact that it would need another £1000 spent anyway which was factored in. Now the worrying part is the seller. He claims to be a trader dealing in high end cars which includes Ferrari’s etc. Now he was in High Wycombe and when we got there he claimed to be a property developer and told an elaborate story about owning various properties there. Having downloaded office copies for the title register he clearly owns nothing there. In addition the logbook isn’t in his name and it’s not signed by the registered keeper.Should this be a concern? Would the fact that nothing he says adds up be a concern? Also the address on his licence does not match that of where he’s living? Just want peoples view on whether buying the car is too big of a risk or whether the above points are irrelevant?

Up for sale is my BMW Williams F1 UHR speed watch. I came across this when clearing out my parents loft. I got this around 14 years ago but from what I remember I never wore it as it went missing when we moved. It comes in the original box but the book is missing. Not sure what it’s worth, however I found one on eBay (link below) for £277 plus postage. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173264255054 I’m only asking £75 collected from Twickenham. Alternatively I can post if your willing to cover the cost.

Hi Tyson, it’s standard for the solicitors to raise this in their enquiries as whenever works are highlighted on the local authority search is to raise this as an enquiry. As others have mentioned your solicitors can simply deal with this by saying it was carried out prior to your ownership and you have no record of it. Their solicitors will then come back requesting that there either be an allowance (i.e a deduction from the sale price) in order for the buyer to purchase an indemnity policy for missing building regs certificate. The sum insured will usually be the purchase price. Even at £800k the policy won’t be more than £120. In the alternative they may ask you to purchase the policy and bear the cost. I wouldn’t worry at all as this is something that is very common and it’s not a big deal in the conveyancing department at my office. Which ever process they decide they will simply add a special condition to the contact to that effect.

If you don’t end up buying it would you be kind enough to pass me the details as I would be interested. As for a 996 I sold mine at the start of the year and really miss it. It truly was an awesome car, practical, reliable, fast and surprisingly good on fuel. I used mine as a daily and it never let me down. Only reason I sold it is due to our little one coming along and needing to buy a new family car. Will definitely buy another 911 in the near future. If you do decide to go for a 911 make sure you have a proper inspection carried out by a specialist as they can have a lot of hidden faults. I looked at over 15 private cars before I found mine.

Good on you. Someone is going to get a really good deal. Would have really considered buying this had it been for sale next year. Good luck with the sale and fingers crossed things pick up for you work wise. -

This is a bargain price. Can’t help but think you would make so much more breaking it. Would love to have a go at finishing this if I could justify buying another Supra.
