Guest CoolsBlue
This keeps popping into my head on and off, over the last few days, what would happen if toyota re produced the mkiv for another year or so..special edition or whatever, would they be snapped up real fast? what price would they go for? would be great becuase they could do some different types like Jap and UK spec - AERO TT6SPD's UK spec - aeros and do some things like, pre facelift and facelift models??new colours, just been day dreaming about it at work:innocent:what do you guys n girls think!! even though it wont happen:p Kev

The Raven
Mr Brown would rake in some extra road tax.
Ark
Assuming they were at the appropriate cost for a car like this, now, ie ~£30k, I'd go buy one tomorrow - every part like new, no seized bolts, spanky new bushes...
Matt H
Styling isnt inkeeping with todays modern market, theres no way the same car would come out, however nice it would be to see brand new supras
Bobbeh
I doubt it would sell. There are enough floating around as it is.. and only die hards would pick up on the new ones. They lost money on producing the Supra so its unlikely in my eyes it'll ever happen.
ShamelessTT
Carlsberg "Dont make Supras, but if we did they would probably be the best Supras in the world." Wishful thinking, but i really think the shape / style of the Supra with some minor changes would sell.
Sheefa
With so many new Toyotas out, why would they revert back to producing an old one!
ShamelessTT
Its about time they got back into the serious sports market tho, the new shape MR2's are gash IMO, proper fannys car!.

Yeah, but it's still a Toyota at the end of the day mate. I would easily choose a sportier BMW, Audi or Alfa Romeo over a similar priced 'sporty' Toyota. As far as I see it, the Supra and the Hilux were the best cars they ever came out with.

Thorin
Well they don't make the MR2 anymore, or the Celica either, as I posted in another thread the sportiest car in the Toyota current line-up is a diesel Auris.
supra steveo
that would be mint and i would take out a mortgage to get one
Chris Wilson
Nissan USA did it with the 240Z, dealer rebuilt cars, but not sold as newly registered vehicles. It isn't going to happen with the MKIV, it hasn't a prayer of making modern emissions for a start, and isn't as collectable in the US as the 240Z for sanctioned rebuilt cars to be contemplated. Ark
Maybe not, but wouldn't it be cool if they made some chassis for sale "under the counter" for enthusiasts to build.
colsoop
Emissions killed the Supra unfortunately I would love to see them do what Mazda did with the mx5 they took a load of originals and rebuilt them from the ground up then sold them as specials, they must have made a loss on every single on of them but it would be great to see. What we need is a very rich Supra owner with the enthusiasm to want to spend 100K on a few "new" Supras, any takers ?
