Testing the water - Quicksilver 98 NA Auto

Right, I think I might have found a TT that I might be able to afford if I can sell this car for a good price.

Basically bought this car around a month ago. Although she is an N/A I must say that she looks superb. The wheels and Blitz exhaust really complements the shape and colour.

This is the for sale thread by a member here which I think has the details of the car : http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=194803 Basically has service history, recently serviced, tax and mot runs till March 2010.

So far the only thing that's changed is that I've fitted a 8k HID kit to the car. I gave the whole car a detail and the only bad point now is that the n/s/f passenger wing has a dent in it. I'm getting it looked at tomorrow and I would get it fixed but I could discount the price a little if its left unfixed. It's a pretty cheap fix and taking the route of replacing wing + repaint will cost up to £150 ish quid.

edit: Wing fixed!

Click my sig and my garage for more pictures of the car.

Please PM me for your offers. I have an ideal price in mind but just testing the waters so its good to know what people will offer for this mint looking car.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Jonathan

was going to say.... i love quicksilver!

someone will snap that up easy peasy!

:p

Thanks for the support guys.

I have an appointment with a body panel specialist tomorrow to get it looked at. I was told the paint is hard to match so I really want to make sure everything is pristine. Appointment takes ages to get booked in but I guess its worth it. They claim they will guarantee the paint job so if it doesn't match I will make sure they paint it until it does ;)

Hopefully it could sell for the price I'm after but if it doesn't don't really mind keeping her!

Cheers!

One for exagerating eh :p

whoooops sorry :p I have the invoice here its 1021.28 in total before the 17.5% VAT and after that its £1200.00.

This includes delivery, nuts, locking nuts, fitting, balancing and tyres. Ohhh, supplied by Envy as well

I think this is considered expensive since it was back in 07... don't know :search:

2k for a TT engine?

Do you mean just the engine excluding the ECU, looms etc?

Don't I need the TT LSD and gearbox too? And perhaps intercooler etc? don't know.... I don't mind if 2k can get me the whole shebang lol but I doubt it :p

I have an ideal price in my mind lol but I'm too afraid to say it fearing people might laugh at me :(

oooh, I got the dent fixed as well. Overall the curvature is perfect! I have minor quibbles about the paintwork though. If you look at it from certain angles you will notice a white patch. Its not very obvious and you would probably miss it if you are not looking for it. The guy told me that it will slowly blend in with time. Lol probably shouldn't be mentioning this in my for sale thread but I guess its best to be honest! :D

After the pictures were taken I had a go at polishing it and trying to blend things in. It's even less obvious after that I guess but I'm picky I guess so now thinking of getting the Sup a full body respray and alloy refurb over the winter if I don't sell :p

Perfect curves...

Look at the glitters!

But there's a very minor flaw... looks better after the pic is taken since I polished and blended it in a little. Only noticable at certain angles. :(
