Back to black?

Guys I am in the process of having the purple throbbing monster resprayed, with a view to maybe selling her in the spring.

 

The question is for resale purposes, do I keep her in the current skyline Midnight Purple, or put her back to the original OEM Black?

personally, i like the look of the Midnight Purple paintjob. I think it gives an overall more exclusive look to your Supra. black and many other colours can be seen so often. may as well make it stand out, and it is a good colour, not something that will put anyone off.

Anyone that appreciates the car for what it is won't be too bothered I wouldn't have thought.

 

Why not sell prior to paint job and leave it for the buyer to decide and save some £££'s ?

 

Black throbbing monster doesn't have the same ring to it.

Personally I wouldn't go for black because you would lose the detail of the TRD vents etc,

 

If you're willing to spend on a colour change, ie back to black, then I would consider something else, something a little brighter ? A striking colour maybe ? A Blue ? Hmmmm.

I think for a high end car a custom paint job is always better. The only downside is it then slightly limits your market, but as it is a fairly subtle colour it shouldn't really effect it too much.

Hi Terry, bloody hell mate you have bought and sold that car more times then I have bought turbos, and thats becoming quite a regular occurance......

 

But I say black, I think it you will have more chance of selling it, but isnt it a costly outlay just to sell, so a double edged sword in my view.......

LOL Ash, I had it 6 years, I have sold it once, and just bought it back.

 

The car IMHO needs a repaint, I am not doing it on a whim, I just think a car with a spec like that needs good paint.

Black is the fastest colour. But your engine spec suggests that you don't need it any faster so I stand by my purple statement.
