It was more like "have you got 10p?" "20p?" "a pound?" had my clipper card bus-pass thing taken a few times and a nice touch-screen watch which I thought was the dogs danglies. I told him to bugger off. He then started getting really lippy and making all kinds of threats. Then told me to get my hair cut. That did it. I turned round and walked back towards him. Faced up to him as asked what he was going to do about it. He said, right mate round the coner. I said not mate right here, cause you anit got the bollox to do it here in front of the cameras. Told him to fuck of again and walked off. First time, I was not street wise, I had just moved to London 18 years old, I was with a mate, walkinh home from a gig, this guy came running at me with a knife, but I did not see him as I was turned toward my mate, who suddenly shot in front of me and hit the guy full on on the side face. It's never happened to me, and can't even imagine how it would be. I mean that guy (or guys?) will be locals, right? How do they know that you won't follow them afterwards and chop their hands off? Or that you won't recognise them another day, follow them where they live and burn them down? Seriously now, how do they ensure they'll get away with it without killing the victim? Yes, I am a disturbed individual, but hulk I aint, and I've lived for a while in the roughest part of scotland (bar none). Nobody ever even approached me, and these were all theives, prostitutes and nutters (off-limits to the police) Either I emmit 'back off' signals, or I am just fecken lucky.
