Advice on Alternator

Recommended Posts

Trying to find a new alternator for 93 jspec tt auto. I have tried Toyota and they have said discontinued. Anyone know which of the eBay ones are any good. Part number I have is 27060 46120

Cheers

Do you need new? I'll be removing mine shortly from a UK spec TT working perfectly fine so will be for sale.

I have a Mechman from SRD too, good bit of kit and likely cheaper than a brand new OEM one

Stock alternators i believe autos are 100A and manual is 90A so something to consider if you do buy a stock one

I rebuilt mine, but struggled to get the correct diode pack. The TT supra pack has a long cranked output terminal stud and found a couple of places in the states that stocked them but were as much to ship as to buy. Ended up modifying a plate intended for a 1uz. The regulator and brush packs are readily available though. With hindsight I wouldn't bother again.
