Headlining question

Hi everyone

I am in the process of getting my whole interior retrimmed. Part of the project is going removing to be the horrible grey headlining and replace it with black alcantara.

I am convinced this will look amazing. The only thing I cannot work out is that all the plastic parts in the headlining; sunvisor hinges, light surrounds, bolt covers (aerotop) are also light grey. You can see the problem in the pics bellow. These are going to look odd against the black alcantara. I know the later Supra's had leather look, black headlining, I'm guessing these bits were all black on those?

Can you buy these parts from Toyota? I hope so as I don't want to paint them as it never lasts. Any help would be great.

Funny i saw this thread - just the other day i sat in an Audi Q7 with black alacantara headlining and thought, this would look really nice in the supra. You are correct, the stock black headlining came with black hardware. Roof light, clips and visor retainers. Im sure you could get these from toyota if need be, doubt it will be friendly to the wallet though!

As you have an aerotop it may be more difficult. I had a NA facelift Aero once but can't recall if the roof was black? I'd check out the US for pics, they have loads more aerotops and you may find for sure that all the bits are available in black as standard.

Paint them with proper plastic paint, or plastidip.

I painted mine with normal Matt black and the heat in the car during the sun was enough to to make it crack and peel off.

With plastidip it's been fine.
