ripped_fear
Hi everyone I recently purchased a mines ECU for my NA5. Just gone to fit it and the single plug on the ECU looks different and doesn't seem to plug into my Loom. Am I missing somthing? do they normally come with loom adaptor or am i doing somthing wrong? ripped_fear
Also I was under the assumption that all Supras had the same connectors for the ECU
Ric
Whats the difference between the two though? from those pics they look very similar
Alex
Are you sure it's for an NA? Personally I can't recall hearing of one before. As Ric says we need a better picture of the 2 ECU's together. Or are you talking about the ridges on the side and between the pins? A picture of the cover of the MINES unit would help (Serials etc)
Nic
It definitely is a 2JZGE ECU? They don't normally come with a loom adapter. Looking at the pics, I was wondering if you removed the screws that hold the plastic socket part on, whether the standard ECU sockets would be underneath. ripped_fear
Its ok I sussed it, the yellow part in the mines was the yellow cover off the OEM loom, looks like when he has unplugged it when stripping the car it stayed in there. Managed to pull it out gently with twesers and shes plugged straight in. Should have tried that before posting the thread. Thanks anyway guys, now to try turning the key! Chris Wilson
I'd take the covers off and make sure the ribbon cables to the daughter boards are firmly in place, and then secure with a touch of hot melt glue. They are prone to coming out and the car suddenly stopping. Good side of this is sometimes a lucky sod takes a punt on a "broken" one and finds the fix remarkably simple
