Never buy a car with worn rubbers

Good to old threads resurrected!

I never had a problem changing my rubbers, heard a lot of horror stories but it took me probably 20 minutes at the most.

I just cut away the rubber with a stanley knife just leaving the screws exposed, heated them up with a small chef's blow torch which melted the thread lock and then unscrewed the screws, then fitted the new rubbers.

I did these on my last car and had no problems :).

I inserted the screw driver gave a good whack on the head of the bolt to break the thread lock and with a lot of down force I slowly undid all the screws. I know others have head a mare with this so I must have been lucky.
