Guest Suprafly
Thats right, I've come crawling back, been away from here for a while due to 350Z ownership which was ok apart from the lack of power, So I've sold my beloved sunset orange Nismo GT and bought myself facelift RZ-S and renewed my member subscription here and I must say it's good to be back behind the wheel of the supra, what was I thinking? Quick spec as I bought it: 1996 N facelift RZ-S Met blue (not storm the lighter one, I forget the colour name) 35,000 bimta verified miles (and it shows, like it's just out of the factory!) Undersealed Kenwood cd headunit HKS mushroom intake (good start) HKS Super Dragger (another good start) HKS cooler pipes (again another good start) 19" wheelmania alloys (currently in for refurb) Front cusco strut brace (yet another good start) Tein HA coilovers (you've guessed it, another good start) Car is now undergoing full bpu: 1st and second decat with restrictor ring Uprated fuel pump FCD Iridium cold plugs HKS 60mm boost guage I havn't really had the car long enough to take pics just yet, but I'll take some and get em up shortly, more likely next weekend. It's good to be back! Now wheres the love?

Guest Suprafly
I think I saw that car on the trader, was up your way (Sunderland?) and fits your description, looked a very good buy well done and wlecome back Thats the same one, and it was an unbelievable buy as it goes. Are you sitting down? Good............ 5k ! It was actually advertised at 6.5k for a quick sale as the owner is moving to Washington DC, and he's basically selling up here. So I went in with a daft offer to which he initially declined, then called me shortly after and said yes. He said he felt better about it knowing it was going to a local enthusiast. welcome back... any pics mate??? I'll get some pics up soon. Thanks all, I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now. Dnk
Welcome mate The HKS filter needs to go as their crap, get an Apexi on it as soon as possible
AndyT
Welcome back. Nice car by the sounds of it. It certainly pays to look around. As Dnk says. Bin the HKS filter. Apexi or stock are the best options. A lotof cack gets through the HKS, next stop, turbo.
Guest Suprafly
Welcome back. Is it an auto or a manual? Either way it's a bargain, but if it's a manual thats a steal. It's a facelift 96 pre VVTi J-spec auto twin turbo (RZ-S) The car would have been a bargain even at the 6.5k he originally wanted with this mileage and condition, it truly was a good find and right on my doorstep aswell, he needed the car gone and I had the folding stuff, less than he wanted but when the door of oppertunity knocks........ He reckons he paid 12k for it two and a half year ago aswell, and it was a one owner car in Japan apparently, it also came with verified mileage etc etc, so i'm well pleased with it, and to think I had a budget of around 10k to buy a Supe, so I've saved a few quid which I can blow on mods etc.

Guest Suprafly
Welcome back, are 350Z' s that slow when compaired to a Supra? would have thought they would be better on twisty A and B roads, been thinking of getting one when i sell my Supra. The 350Z is a good performer on the bends and will out handle most rwd's due to the shorter wheelbase which makes twisty's a lot of fun, but the lack of power will eat you alive after driving a Supra twin turbo. The 350Z is no match for a Supra twin turbo unless it's been fettled with a big charger. If you sell up and buy one I'd bet you too will soon come crawling back. Guest Suprafly
Heres a little spec of the car and I know how y'all like piccies so i've chucked some in aswell....... I got the rims re lathed at a local alloy wheel refurb shop in sunderland last week, and fitted them this morning. I've also took it to full BPU so it should now be running 400+ bhp and 400+ ft-lb of torque, so I'm pretty keen to get it onto a rolling road. Things I've fitted in the last week: Whifbitz 1st and 2nd decat 1.2 bar restrictor ring Walbro fuel pump HKS FCD Cold grade iridium plugs 60mm HKS boost guage (to keep an eye on things) Full spec so far: 1996 Facelift RZ-S 2JZ-GTE (BPU 400+ bhp) 40k verified mileage HKS Superdragger exhaust HKS mushroom intake HKS FCD HKS boost guage HKS intercooler hardpipes Whifbitz double decat 1.2 bar restrictor ring Walbro fuel pump Cusco front strut brace Mania 19" alloys Tein HA coilovers Rear window tints Kenwood headunit The pics: I'm loving it more and more everyday, just got to drop the coilovers another 10-15mm tomorrow for good measure (with thanks to Jurgen for the loan of his C spanner).
