mate, get the head off and get it checked, whats the worst that can happen, you find its out of tolerance and have to then scrap it.

You have the same symptoms as me my head is coming off on friday so will let you know if thats the culprit, might aid your diagnosis

Go easy with the wet and dry mate :) Just do a bit, polish it up and check progress. You can always go back and do more, to a point :)

 

Thanks for the advise, as you can probably tell the idea of getting the car up to you probably isnt going to happen as im dreading the bill for the engine.

Im around tomorrow? probably most of the afternoon, just be sanding the body but feel free to come over for a brew i still got your number i will give you a shout when im back

 

Ive more or less sanded one side down, im nearly poop myself everytime i take the block to it and see the red pour off. Something relly not right about sanding a car
