Black due to its optical nature has the ability to appear shinier when cleaned (or some rubbish like that which I really can't be bothered with)... So it isn't a colour but rather a shade. I'm not a fan of black, but by goodness can you get a nice glossy shine when detailed properly.

i agree in good weather black can look o.k, but it has to be pretty damn bright and in this country you dont get that that often
