Havard
How much do people pay? Are you on a meter or do you pay a standard rate? Just got my bill for this year 2008 - 2009......£566.00..... We live in a 4 bed semi with 2 adults and 2 kids, we have 2 bathrooms. Personally I think this is excessive! I would like to know what other people pay by comparison as I am thinking of going on a meter. Besides washing the car and having a big bath, we are not exactly huge water users..... H. Pot
Mine's about £120 pa on a meter, just me in my flat and I'm not a big user either, so yours might be accurate...
Supragal
Mine in a 2 bed house is nearly 400. For a whole year though. I am tempted to put in a meter as I don't think we use that much. Knowing my luck we do use more than our fair share and it would go up!

AndrewOW
2 people in a 2 bedroom flat, only using a shower daily, plus washing machine etc, approx. £480 pa. on a meter. Extortionate IMO, but the house is old, and I'm sure some our water is feeding the plants in the driveway too!

Is it like a grate/living flame type of thingy? I bet is uses a sh!t load of gas and hardly heats the room. We got nailed for £200 for our fist bill after moving into a 2 bed terraced. We never used the fire after that!! H.
