saw something in the local paper about this today & initially thought what a load of rubbish (especially when i went onto the website http://www.fylde.myffi.biz and looked at the prices & it actually costs more when you buy in bulk!) but then i wondered, some of the information talks about the emission tests dropping dramatically & i wondered if it would mean that people wouldn't have to put their cats back in if they had one of these in at the time? could be worth an MOT tester trying it out & we could sell it to the masses then!

cut and paste the text below into your sig, but remove the space after the first character & before the last: [ URL=http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=hall&u=6653]My Car[/url ] EDIT: or see Tom's reply above

1) do you know which account you are connecting as from the XP machine & the PPC? i'm not sure how Resco works but would you need to connect as the Guest account & this has perhaps been disabled? 2) is your PPC setup to connect to the network as a 'work' network as opposed to 'the internet'? i'm sure i've read something somewhere about having to specify 'work' for certain LAN things that go beyond just an internet connection 3) are you sure the share still exists? we rebooted one of our 2003 servers the other day at work & the share just unshared itself - depending on how you connect from the XP machine, configurations & under what account, it may still connect without a share 4) have you tried the machine's IP address as part of the share path instead of the machine name or vice versa to see if that makes a difference?

hehe, you've got to get these things in haven't you? it doesn't happen very often! i spoke to Brian earlier & he said he was going - i believe he is now keeping the car for a bit since they've finally launched the 99RON Tesco fuel near him

lol, if you can make a Supra Scoot bonnet with your spare, i know someone who will have it off you! ME! there's a guy who goes to Mascrat Manor, with an RX-7, who had a variation of the Scoot one done by someone in japan & it cost him around a grand i believe to be done custom to his requirements, in carbon fibre if you can make your own & you've nothing better to do then it must be fantastic to have something so unique

i've got the front bumper & absolutely love it, even more than the ridox i had before. also goes well with the C-West skirts i have on mine as the lines seem to match up on them i hope to have one of the bonnets & the earlier wing one day i think, when i fancy a change to the styling - some more performance mods first though i think
-
i love it. nope, when i ordered mine they wanted an extra £200 or something for the CoPilot add ons, so i've got tomtom running on mine i've had terminal services running my desktop from it, usually use the public wifi at work to pick up hotmails etc through the day (instead of having to adhere to the group policies or whatever that restrict it to lunchtimes on the LAN) & will eventually write some software of my own for it with Visual Studio 2005 since it's got the latest version of the .NET compact framework on it (how sad is that!) i was using it as my mp3 player/movie player for travelling etc, using media player & beta player, until i got my ipod the slide out qwerty keyboard is what i like most & is what most people are impressed by when they ask what it is. i've got 2 guys at work who've already ordered one since seeing mine! & my dad is waiting to see if his work can supply him one to work with their Blackberry email service so he can ditch his Blackberry (i'll double check with him whether he's interested in this one when i see him tomorrow, just in case) oh yeah, and the handwriting recognition with the stylus when you're writing text messages etc is another one that impresses the chaps at work
-
just to anyone that's looking at this, it is a fantastic phone the slide out keyboard & wi-fi capability make this probably THE most 'size friendly' Pocket PC with phone functionality with the satnav, gps receiver & being almost brand new it is an absolute bargain

i've always loved the Do-Luck bonnets, one is more aggressive than the other but has a smaller vent, but both are the 'intruding' style as Carlos puts it http://www.do-luck.co.uk/jza80bk.htm Scoot do a fantastic one for the RX-7 which is now starting to be seen quite often

i got sent this one the other day

is this something that can be reset or fixed or would it be a new torque converter required?
-
oh yes i remember that proper big boys toy!

thanks for your replies Chris. it's an auto, you did my decats etc & checked the engine mounts at the time as the vibration was in its early stages but has got worse since then if you get chance can you PM me an idea of what it would cost to come & see you again? & if it's another trip i could make there & back in the same day? as i posted, i think i've got a decent price on the mounts but am not convinced with the experience of who's doing it (and neither are they really) but it's so convenient being in the same town! the vibration is alot more prominent now & i would imagine easier to diagnose than when you last saw it - the guy at Toyota has had it up side by side with another Supra to compare everything & can only now put it down to the mounts, which appear to be alot more 'on their arse' (in his words!) than the one he was comparing it too & when he used a bar or whatever to try & restrain the engine it appeared to go away it also still appears to only be noticeable when the car is in Drive at idle thanks, Wes p.s. you lot stop chit chatting in my technical thread i've got the main man's interest at the mo!!
-
i'm going to go ahead and get the engine mounts replaced on the car, to try & rid this vibration i get at idle. the car has been checked over by a few different people & the mounts are pretty much the last thing to try my choice now is: (a) to get the parts in quite cheap (approx £55 + vat per mount) and let the mechanic i know at the local Toyota garage attempt it (they haven't done this before & are thinking it requires the subframe dropping) OR (b) go to someone trusted who's done this kind of thing before, i.e. one of the traders on here can anyone give any details of what is required or whether it's a massive job? i've heard prices more like £130 each on here just for the mounts & can't afford another spend hitting £500+ at the moment and choice (a) will cost me a lot less afaik if it's something they could do without problems

sorry to hear this mate were you in Manc or round near us?

the guy who originally removed from his car must have been using a chainsaw or something, the screen is in bits & has a tiny ribbon that is snapped & missing. the GPS mouse wiring appears to have been butchered for some reason & when i plug it into the USB port XP just says it's not working properly. i think it needs some kind of serial > USB driver first before you can use the actual GPS driver with it, but the http://www.royaltek.com web site ain't to great & doesn't appear to have what i'm looking for i'm signing up with a couple of forums over the weekend to get a bit more knowledgeable on it all
-
certainly did the screen is no good though so will have to get a new one & i don't think the GPS mouse works either, but i'm in the states next month with work so i'm hoping i might be able to pick a couple of bits up while i'm there the spec of the machine is better than my home pc! be interested to see your software you've written, not .NET is it?
-
i did mate, said hi on the way out of work the other night you just need to make sure you don't ever become famous! things like this will then be in the News of the World! the pic of you is far more embarassing
