  1. :d Dude, I don'y know if it's cool or just plain wrong that you have so many model cars. What does this missus make of it all?
  2. That's one taxi I'd love to catch a lift in! Nick - yeah I kinda understand with the 34 bt the 33 is still really expensive compared to the Sup. I'd love a R33 V-Spec but for the money they fetch you can almost afford a single Supra.
  3. Ok - total noob qestion here but why oh why are Skylines so expensive? Not just the 34 but the 33 too. They're mega money compared to a Supra I've always been such a Supra fan I never looked into Skylines, but the more I see them the more I want one. It's just compared to a Supra they're so damn dear. Why didn't they depreciate like the Sup?

    Grizzly man

Bought this on DVD about 6 months ago, meant to be really good. I did try and watch it but I fell asleep! Nothing to do with the documentary itself might I add, I was just knackered. He is a bit mad from what I remember though.
  5. Being local to me I've been to the Jewellery Qtr a couple times. Maybe it's just me but I found buying a dimond ring an absolute nightmare, buying an engagment ring for my ex was the worst. You don't wanna get ripped off or buy a shitty diamond. Maybe I'm wrong but there seemed to be a lot of tat in the Jewellert Qtr and it felt like a lot of shops would be offering you something that wasn't what they said it was. I was told that out of the 100's of shops in Brum only 5 or 6 were certified jewellers or something that carry a particular coat of arms above their door. These particular shops were the reputable ones you can buy with confidence from. I ended up buying from one of them but paid a premium for doing so. Then again it could all be a load of bollox, maybe Chiefgrover could offer a bit more advice.
  6. Agreed - don't bother with the chip. As for ging BPU don't do it all at once. Just keep an eye on the Parts for Sale section on here and pick up the bits cheaply as and when they become available. I think I spent roughly £600 - £700 going BPU over 3/4 months. Fitted everything myself too as it's fairly straight forward. Your main outlay will be your exhaust but pretty much everything else is less than £100 apiece.
  7. This car is now sold - to a very nice man from Holland. I got a measly £5600 for it, truely shocking. I know I'm biased but how can all that car be worth such a little amount? I had just one call in three weeks, damn time of year. At least I've plenty of spending money for Canada though!
  8. And so the texts start rolling in....... What's the difference between Mr Kipling and The River Ripper? - Mr Kipling can put 6 tarts in a box. Ipswich Town FC have had to cancel their football match this Saturday. A dyslexic Serial Killer has murdered all their substitutes. Don't shoot the messenger!
  9. Cool - well the chap has just emailed me and he seems like a nice chap. His email address belongs to this website so I guess he's a trader of some sort: website He's willing to come to my house too which suits me better.
  10. I've just had a call from a guy in Holland who's willing to travel to the UK to buy my Supra - which is currently for sale. Now I know I've seen a few people on here who have sold cars to people from Europe but is there anything I should be wary of? Seems like a whole lot of trouble to buy a car. He's willing to pay cash in English and he's definitely calling from Holland - the number came up on my phone. I had decided to keep the car as it wasn't selling due to the time of year too.
  11. Sorry to be a total dunce but I can't find the letter template on Consumer Corner - I've registered too. Anyone got the link?
  12. Yep - good movie. Ashton Kutcher puts in a real good performance too, which makes a nice change!
  13. Yeah I heard you too fella. This isn't just isolated Latvia. It happens all over Eastern Europe and the rest of the world. An old work colleague of mine used to work with somebody this happened to in Venezuela. No strip clubs mind, this was a middle aged couple in a coffee shop. The shop owner gave them a a bill for $3000 for two coffees and a couple sandwiches. The couple were threatened and marched to a cashpoint, forced to hand over approx £1000 and had all their belongings robbed. Scary stuff man - there's a lot of lawless countries in this world!
  14. Already have mate, done it yesterday. Lets hope it sells, worst time of year and all that.
  15. I've just submitted my ad to Autotrader for this Friday.....
  16. Good to know you've bought another Sup mate, I'll keep an eye out for you.
  17. Cheers IMI Hadyn, you weren't outside Bass Junkies in Wednesfield yeaterday by any chance? Saw a silver Sup there I hadn't seen before.
  18. Oh just to add, I believe the Ixus is the same as the SD range - just one's for the US market and the other for Europe.....
  19. Again, I can vouch for an Ixus/SD model by Canon. My last three cameras have been one of these. I currenty have the Ixus 55 which I bought from this ebay user about 5 months ago: link I paid about £140 for the same deal. The Canon is small but has a big screen and it's stainless steel rather than plastic. This particular one is only 5mp but IMO I can't see why anyone needs more. It drives me mad as it is having to reduce the size of photos to post up anywhere. And most importantly it's a Canon - the best there is.
  20. Cheer all the reason I couldn't find it was because i hadn't updated the title, I've now done that so anyone searching for a Twin Turbo Supra will see mine too....
  21. what did you type in to find it? I can only see it through My Ebay or if I search with the item number...
  22. I've just listed my Supra up for sale on ebay and everything appears to be ok. The only problem is if you do a search for a 'Supra' or 'Supra Twin Turbo' etc etc - my car isn't there. I don't think I've listed it in the wrong section - can somebody have a look for me? - It's item number 270063486885
