Yep, had that on DVD a few years back. The film is the bollox. Paddy Considine (lead in DMS) is an awesome actor. He's even better in his debut movie: A Room For Romeo Brass. That was directed by Shane Meadows who also directed this. Considine has been in a few other good movies too like Cinderella Man & In America. He's also in the Arctic Monkeys video for Leave Before The Lights Come On. Best British actor out there imo.

My friend was having trouble with his laptop so i took it off him and re-installed windows so that everything would be running nicely with service pack 2 and a few bits of software he may need. The laptop was running smoothly until i used microsoft word and only 20 keys are working!! does anybody hav a solution?? i dont wana tel him iv broken his laptop!

Oh dont get me wrong, I get infuriated by the idiotic political correctness of this country. The tattoo thing is a joke too, there's so much wrong with this country. My ex was just an example - just to point out that not everything is so black and white. For the record though - I didn't particularly like them when she had em done anyway. Of course I never told her that as she was so happy with them. I'm a leg an arse man myself. But I guess how I felt about the whole thing wasn't the issue.

I can't comment on the tattoo thing but people shouldn't judge in regards to breast enlargement. My ex-girlfriend had quite literally nothing up top - and I mean nothing. She didn't even need a training bra. This was a huge issue for her, she had zero self confidence and was depressed because of it. It was her own doctor that referred her to the NHS and they were happy to give her an enlargment. She ended up with a B cup so they looked more natural with her figure. You wouldn't believe the difference it had on her life. I know some people would just say 'well if she wanted it that much then she would have paid herself'. But thats just plain ignorance imo, some people genuinely cant afford to spend £3k - £4k at the drop of a hat. And if the NHS are happy to pay then why wouldn't you let them? Would you decline on principle?

There you go matey, CJ to the rescue! You wouldn't get either of those two models in a UK equivalent for your budget, and no doubt very nice examples too from CJ. Everybody who first looks to get a Supra wants a low mileage black 6 speed UK TT. Then you realise it's not possible and get a Jspec! (unless your name's Bobbeh).

When you say TRD do you mean OEM? Either way OEM look like this:

Phil, you may have said on other threads but just wondering why you're only looking at UK Supras? As you've probably realised with the budget you've got (£8k) you're limited to high mileage UK TT's. You may drop on a decent auto for that price but you'll have to wait. You're obviously not deterred by really high milers but most other people will be when you come to sell. £8k will buy you a very nice Jspec auto TT with all the trimmings and prob a stock 6 speed. If it's insurance that's the probem then call our club insurer Sky, it makes no difference to them if it's UK or Jspec.

The silver P reg is a real good price, so long as the car is straight enough. The white auto is too expensive imo. You could have the exact same car in an import for easily 3k less.

With mileage it's always the psychological barrier of 100k that puts most people off. I have a Jspec TT with 105k miles on the clock. I know when I come to sell it I'll struggle because people still unrealistically want a 12 year old car with 50k miles. Mileage on a 3 litre car isn't half the issue it is with a 1 litre car. My Sup may have done over 100k but it's been very well looked after. The engine and turbo's still pull like a train and I've had no issues with it whatsoever. Everybody who sees it cant beleve it's age or mileage - it really does look as though it's only a couple years old (yellow headlights aside! )

Well if you cant get the finance ask the chap if you can secure the car with a deposit while you arrange a loan. It might take an extra week to sort the money but if this is the Sup for you then it's worth the wait. Oh and as for the FTO, charge the battery up and drive it straight to the dealer - don't worry about changing the alternator. That's what p/x's are for!

Looks a very nice example! As for the insurance group thing who knows? I can kinda understand the finance company wanting to protect their interests but if the car's insured and you pass the credit search then what's the problem? Can't see the dealer bullshiting you either, he'd be losing trade. Are they willing to take your FTO in PX?

I'd def get a personal loan with a better rate, just promise yourself you'll pay off the loan if you ever sell the car! Easier said than done I know though:d Then buy an NA private or if you can afford it a TT. How much does the garage want for the NA?

I can't see this doing any harm. If somebody wants to do it I think it would be a good 'rough guide' to what the Supra is capable of with certain mods. Also, cant see why fly figures cant be submitted too. Just add a column with the percentage they used to calculate the losses. Simple headings like: Car / Mods / Boost / Rwhp / Fly / Loss % / Dyno Centre Then anyone looking at the table can make their own assumptions about different loss calculatuions or dyno centres.
