Could one for these be modded for GE runners I wonder, Hmmm!, adapter plate welded to the GE runners maybe, double Hmmmm!? -
I also have no clock in my Supra so I'm going to re-engineer my old billet housing I used for my LCD Monochrome unit to fit there with one of these screens. My steering wheel will have an encoder wheel as well as a 2.8" amoled screen which will be used to control what is displayed where. Then there is the in car PC and the 24" LED monitor but that's a story for another day.
-
Thanks, The mr2 needles, I guess you had to trim them a little as mine catches around the edge of the housing?
-
Yes. Mine will be attached to the ECU serial bus.
-
No software required. Has its own data capture unit. They talk via serial bus.

http://www.nod-land.co.uk/ForumStuff/tacho2.jpg Ignore the blotches and weird corners as it still has the screen protection peeler on but you get the idea (It's also not as saturated and the colours are crisp, my camera has done this). I can display anything on this within reason. This is Delboy52's graphics for his autobox display. When in Manual mode it shows gear as it's hooked up the S1 and S2 solenoids. When in Auto it shows the current selector position and which gear map you are using. Where is also a Supra logo at fist boot. I'm also looking into a white EL back lighting pad. I've found a 10cm round EL pad which can be cut to shape. Just got to design somehting for Eric now. The needle is also off an MR2 which is bigger than a Supra one.

On the trailer ready for delivery this Sunday

Car will also be back in stock at HQ in a few weeks time.
-
I now have my seats in stock. http://www.nod-land.co.uk/ForumStuff/seats.jpg They are out of date but fine for road use and track days (they were free so beggars and all that). Need to get some side mounts sorted

You can wire the AEM AFR gauge into the Link. Do you have the Link plug in expansion cable? White wire form the AFR gauge to any analog input then configure it as a linear 0 to 5v input. The AFR gauge comes with a voltage v's AFR table. The AEM gauge needs to be in mode 0 from memory.

E39 Mechanical plate LSD. 3.15:1 Ratio.

The M5 diff and a spare sub frame complete (less OEM diff) is already in stock at Dyno Torque. Once the car is ready, I just have to wait for Craig to get the spare time to do the work of mounting it and making some hybrid shafts.
-
I nearly broke mine but stopped short of the point of no return. This was in most part because of Craig Taylor and his crazy LS conversions which reignited my interest. The Supra being an ideal recipient of such a conversion (and an easy one ) made it a no brainer.

Thanks, I'll pop up a picture of the Tacho as that's next. I've done an Identical one for Delboy52. I'm just sorting the backend on this at the moment.

Arduino's, Intelligent display modules and I also have a data burst input from the ecu. (Link and or EMU). The Fuel/Temp Display will be a mirror image of the one shown. The Tacho will have a smaller 1.7" OLED under the needle. Primary use will be for the autobox controller, but will be re-tasked when I go manual. Metal Monkey are currently making custom black dial faces for it all but there is a 8 week lead time for custom work. While I do a lot of CAN reverse engineering I don't use it as a comms medium.

I'm going the BMW M5 diff route purely because is was free and the installation is also going to be free and it's a Plate LSD to start with. I can pay to have it upgraded with extra plates and modified ramp angles by Dave Mac should it not cut it as is. It's very similar to a Big Case Supra diff with the rear cooler wings on the back plate. But that's just me and I'm a cheap skate bastard
-
Due to a 30% discount voucher code dropping into my inbox and the pound dropping against the dollar at quite a rate I dropped the hammer on the OLED module for the tacho unit. I now have everything I need for the dash. Just a couple of my custom bits from Metal Monkey left to order (correction just placed the order).
-
If the EMU didn't have coil drivers built in I would have used them instead of the Bosch T's. As with all yank stuff, these were cheap £120 landed. With the connector kits, £150 all in. Not bad for 8 coils that are 30mj short of being M&W CDi energy.

How much power & Torque is too much in a Supra?
Nodalmighty replied to Nodalmighty's topic in Supra Chat
I will do a chapter and verse write up when I actually have something to write about. Car is in a right sorry state at the moment. The chap doing the cage and paint as well as a few other bits has health problems at the moment. I'm considering just getting it running and driving and get it back home for all the work I need to do to it and then taking it back when he's better. Takes the pressure off him a bit. I need to do an NA-T conversion so I can a) dev my autobox controller and some NA-T bits that might be of use to others b) have some fun in it. c) Sell the whole shooting match off to fund some of my LS build when the time comes. Then the member who wanted my engine and diff can finally have it.
