  1. Just got back home from Japanese Auto Extravaganza at Peterborough and have to say had a great time. Had a good look around this clubs stand on the Sunday and to Ray for organizing the display. Looked excellent with a vey good turn out of Supes. Well done also to the guy in the light blue Supra for winning the show and shine. I didn't get a close look at the interior but you had the car looking excellent and well deserved the win (especially in them weather conditions). I decided to camp with the MSOC this weekend and just chilled out Saturday afternoon and evening with a few beers. The weather was doing that overcast thing were you get still get sunburnt if you're not careful. Sunday morning involved a quick wash of the car (not quite to Rob's standards) and a go on the Thor Dyno. 493.6 bhp & 385.4 ft/lb at the hubs was quite satisfying (sp?) and should get even better once the AEM is fitted and mapped and the boost increased next month. The weather started to let us down around midday with the sort of rain that lets you know it's in for the day. So was this the dark cloud over the weekend? No , I'm afraid not. During Saturday night, after we had all crashed out, a couple of "fatherless persons" decided that they would attempt to vandalize our marquee and club banner. Martin woke up to see one guy on the shoulders of the other guy cutting away at the banner. When disturbed they legged it and unfortunately couldn't be identified. This sort of mindless vandalism, fortunately for the event organisers, wasn't widespread and the only other trouble accross the whole show was someone doing donuts in their car and a case of beer going missing. I would love to know find out who decided to target the stand as I take the damage quite personnally as an attack on the club. I'm also posting this on other forums with the hope that someone may have seen something I'd be interested in hearing. If you know any further details please pm or e-mail me. Also can you pass on the word through the other car clubs please. Thanks John
  2. I'm 6'4" and zero legroom in the back. Thinking of dumping the rear seats now anyway.
  3. Very interesting reading. I've always held a view that it could well have been a hoax but this link throws a new light on the evidence of the conspiracy theorists. Who knows How many missions have there been to the moon? I thought it was only the one but from the sounds of it there has been more.
  4. Only in America could you have dumb laws like these..... Link

  8. Billing has done this before with the "Land Rover Owners" Show. The magazine built up it's show at Billing until it outgrew the site and when they moved on to another location Billing hosted a show at the same weekend.
  9. Give Leon a call at JPS as your not that far away and he should be able to sort you out. Link in signature...
  10. Yes, another vote for Ali Landry here
  11. Black Veilside kitted Aerotop seen in Ilford this morning.
  12. Just been Dover to Calais and back on P&O Ferries. When you get in the lanes to wait for loading you want to find the person in charge of loading and let them know about you're low bumper/skirts and they can adjust the loading ramps to suit. P&O really looked after me on my trip and would think that if a group of like cars were travelling together there would be no problem at all. However might be an idea to let then know when booking as they may have to allow room in the cargo decks.
  13. Most of the "trades" seem to be short of skilled people and there is good money involved. If your sons practically minded then he may enjoy this kind of work. I know nothing about the IT world but there would be plenty of people here to give advice down that route. I would have thought at 14 he still had a couple of years to consider options though.

  15. Suprised no-one said Buffy yet! Mine's a close call between Lucy Lawless (Zena - Warrior Princess) and Jeri Ryan (7 of 9)

    Which Bonnet?

It was and still is. For looks I prefer the j-spec plain bonnet tbh! Pics posted due to request by others.
  17. Love these wheels on the Supra. Suit it so well. What size are they (can't make it out on the photo)?
  18. John_M

    Which Bonnet?

Not colour coded as carbon fibre but this is Kevins Supra (Envy)
  19. John_M

    Which Bonnet?

Always liked this one after seeing it on Kevins car last year and it does seem well thought out. Am I right in saying they do a fibreglass bonnet in this style as well as the carbon fibre one? Come on the Gaz, what's the best price you can do? (pm me? )
  20. Latest news.. 4 bombs not 7 as suspected. Aldgate east - Liverpool St 7 killed Russell Square - Kings Cross 21 killed Edgeware Road 5 killed Woburn Place (bus) ? killed Very sad day
  21. I didn't say that todays events were less terrible! Reminder of 24 April 1993 as some people might not remember. There is nothing you can do to stop these kinds of attacks and you cannot blame the politicians (tempting as it is).
  22. As terrible as todays events where the explosion in City/Bank area of London by the IRA years back was by far worse. That day I'd been doing multidrop deliveries all round that area and was just getting on the M1 when it happened. Just an hour earlier and I would have been in that one. The first thing that I thought when I saw this on the news about 10am was that at least it was conventional explosions and not "dirty" bombs or chemical!
