  1. Ask them. I'm sure they'll tell you . [email protected] Note to self................. better get some sunglasses
  2. I used to work for an independant breakdown company and done work for all the different breakdown companies. I'm presently covered by the RAC as they offered a policy that was for any car I drive and the minibus that I was driving at the time (AA couldn't cover that). However I would recommend National Breakdown above most and will be changing back to them when I need to re-new. They do not have any of thier own vans or trucks so in the event of a breakdown they dispatch their nearest agent to you straight away. This agent has to attend in a vehicle prepared to recover if required (except on home start) so you wont be left at the side of the road waiting for the flat-bed. About two weeks after the breakdown you will recieve a questionare about the level of service that you recieved from both the operators and the agent. This questionare is followed through with the agent so if service is poor they will get a bo!!ocking about it and if they are too frequent they will lose the contract. As said above though lots of insurance companies offer very good deals and most of them are covered by Green Flag. You pays your money, you takes your choice. get fliers off all of them (or check websites out) and see which suits your needs best.
  3. "What with these feet?" Comedy legend. RIP
  4. Got tickets for Silvestone now so will be at this all day and will be going to Towcester afterwards. See you all Sunday.
  5. Was going to go to the D1 then on to Towcester but looks as if the D1 is sold out now Will be going up to Towcester first and will probalbly get up there a little early to be sociable
  6. Sam said that she was going to start at Towcester.
  7. Ouch! Just been there and came away nearly £400 lighter. I would replace both sides at the same time, luckily you've got 18" wheels where mine are 19s which cost nearly twice as much.
  8. You can get a three speed or even two speed auto gearbox for the Supra but only really any good for the strip.
  9. I'm with you on that and wouldn't normally go up to the cruise but the idea of turning up with half-a-doz, or so, Supras does appeal. Been to the Caldecot Arms meet once and was quite impressed with the cars but owners did seem a little cliquey and the queue to get a drink was terrible.
  10. Nice to see more local people on the board. You might be interested in the "Northampton mini meet" next Sunday (actually Northampton -to- Towcester -to- Milton Keynes). Details: 2 October 1700 @ Sixfields, Northampton ........................ 1800 @ Folly P/H, Towcester ........................ 1900 @ Hockey Stadium, Milton Keynes Mini-meet thread
  11. Personnally, I'd move over there tommorrow as I love the lifestyle over there but everyone has different goals and ties to home. Hope they are giving you plenty of time to consider it. Tell them you'd like a paid holiday over there to help make up your mind. If you do go for it then bear in mind that property prices are horrendous over there (especially near Dublin). Day to day living costs seem to be fairly similar but no Super-unleaded fuel as goverment taxed it out. Not an easy decission to make and must have come as a huge suprise.
  12. Where about in Ireland are they based? Been around most of it and have family over there. What's your job?
  13. Someones cloned your car CJ Same TRD bonnet too
  14. John_M

    Hmmm

I'm sorry if it is anyone on here but....... SHOCKING !
  15. Spotted at about 8am on the M5 Southbound near Avonmouth. Possibly CJ ? (I was disguised as an arctic so you wouldn't have seen me )
  16. 1. Jez 2. Samsupra37 (18:00 Folly) 3. Gregsupra4 (18:00 Folly) 4. John_M (possibly @ D1, if not @ Folly)
  17. Terrible loss Also this weekend Richard Britton killed in Kerry BBC Link
  18. wouldn,t bother IMHO, ordered tyres from them about 5 weeks ago, only to find they end up getting nicked in the postage Had to sign a form stating i hadn't received them and send it off to Germany (mytyres.co.UK ) And had to wait for my refund. Fair play they are very cheap, though i was unlucky with my order Point taken. Don't want to wait that long for tyres Sam, went round there today to see what they could do. Good price and they'll have them in tommorrow morning.
  19. Probably about 1pm. Good prices there @ £166.45 each fitted.
  20. Thanks, I'll go round there tommorrow as I'm only round the corner in Fenny. (if I can work out which way round the road works are today?)
  21. Haven't tried anywhere local yet. I'm on nights so have plenty of time for a scout around on Monday. Sizes are 275/30ZR19 (always looking for a good price )
  22. TBH when it went it wasn't too bad actually! Replacing both with G/Y Eagle F1s when I have looked around for a good price (blackcircles @ £212.60 each). Little scuf on the inside of the rim so got away quite lightly. You forget how noisey the Motorway is until you stand by the side of it for a couple of hours. Had a blinding headache by the time I got home.
  23. Yep, that was me! Rear wheel blow out! 2hrs waiting for recovery truck to find out he can't get me on-board due to low approach angle. Then another 1.5hrs for a fully demountable unit to come out from Aylesbury.
