  1. Any of you guys know any companies supplying computer components at good prices (that's good for me, not them)? I'm looking to upgrade my processor, motherboard, memory and power pack. John
  2. I've been driving and delivering around London for years and I'm not too bothered about the traffic, etc. When you view London from a vehicle it is the dirty place which someone else said it was but if you get out and actually look around you there is so much of intrest unseen. That said, there is no way I would ever live there!
  3. At least they're not competing with JAE at Peterborough this year as it's on the weekend after.
  4. Bugger! Done a search too.
  5. Seen this and thought others could be interested. Pipeline Card
  6. Whereas this is possible on paper at legal speeds I do doubt it would be really feasible in practice. I took part in "Bugging Britain" for charity years ago in a Volkswagon Transporter van with two other drivers over the Saturday and Sunday. Now before you start shouting that the Supra is a little quicker than an old VW they do manage the legal limits quite happily. The problem that you will face is the longest day is of course in the middle of summer and in the middle of summer the roads around Scotland and Cornwall will be clogged with tourists. 18 June 2006 - Sunrise (in Scotland) @ 0428 - Sunset (in Cornwall) @ 2119 Total daylight hours = 16hr 51m Auto-route calculates the route (at average legal speeds) to 16hr 19m without breaks, fuel stops or hold-ups! If there is a record to be had then go for it but otherwise I would advise taking a weekend over it and enjoying the drive.
  7. I used to work on the breakdowns based at Toddington Services on the M1 (near Jct.12). One nice summers day we were sat outside the office when there was a mad screaching noise and a Mercedes comes flying into the car park at high velocity just managing to stop before the exit. We go over to find a very shaken woman climbing out of the car. She had had her brake pads replaced by her local (up North somewhere, can't remember where now) Mercedes dealer that morning, picked the car up and pulled out straight onto the M1 southbound heading for appointment in London. Thought she'd pull in before getting to the M25 for a break but couldn't stop. We checked out the brakes and found the the new pads had been fitted in METAL TO METAL! Called dealership for her and all they could do was blabber appologies and blame apprentice in the workshop. But why wasn't his work checked? Replaced discs and pads for her and took it for test drive for her before we sent her off again.
  8. Recon Uncle Ken will have a copy of that video ( on CCTV)

    Open Day

give up probably really easy but I can't find them. link please
  10. IMHO I would have said to go up to M4 then M5, M6 and M62. There's some roadworks around the M5 - M6 jct but wouldn't have thought it too bad on a Saturday.
  11. If you don't have any joy with the dealer then why not try them direct. Tein UK Headquarters
  12. Anyone from Coalville? If so please pm me (after local info) Thanks
  13. It's a bit harsh saying that you are glad they're dead :thumbdown however I do agree that it was purely their own doing. Police should not be held accountable for this accident and subsequent deaths as it was these kids that stole the car.
  14. Sorry anyone that has these fitted but I really don't like these.:thumbdown Look far too fussy for my liking (probably why that guys removing his! lol).

    Information needed

In the Chav catagory: Escort, C2
  16. My Supras rear plate needs to be 14" x 7" (356 x 178) to cover the hole. Most suppliers do a plate 13" x 7" as standard so that will be easy to get hold of if its big enough for yours (it was for my last one). If not look around at the shows and you'll find the larger ones.
  17. OS = Operating System (ie: 98, 2000, xp, etc)
  18. Not sure if this does real time translator but may help online translator

    going single

Power House racing kits seem very good and the two people I know that have had them fitted are very happy with them.
  20. I take it that no-one actually saw what happened?
  21. Try Whifbitz out in North London.
  22. However.... This is similar to what I heard during the day at the show. The actual show was thoroughly enjoyable. Good to see some of the people on here again and to meet some new faces.
  23. I can't get over how little thought anyone is giving this. Someone from this forum (I don't know who) run another car off the road by doing a dodgy overtaking manouver during one of the convoys. Luckily no-one was seriously hurt but the Mondeo (from what I've heard) was very badly damaged. Now, it seems that the owner may have had something to hide and therefore didn't wish to call authorities but this does not make it any less serious.
